  1. Not sure my current power hookup would support that. On the wall. Posted to one of my Facebook groups and I got 15 request in the first 20 minutes. I really need that AD951 now.

  3. Won't actually be spinning it until Monday, but picked this up on Amazon. This album and Nick Hayward really influanced my direction for years to come. I still love those British groups with those smooth, crooner voices. Spandau Ballet, ABC, Style Council, etc... Something about those industrial cities that birthed such amazing talent.

  9. Don't try to dissuade him. My master plan is for him to build the mega shop, then find a way for him to want to adopt a 60 y.o. man. I haven't worked out all the bugs, but I think it still has better odds than me winning the lottery.

  10. This is an impex reissue of early Columbia era Sinatra, and historically was his first album to feature him on all swing, uptempo tunes. I have never heard Frank sound this real! Impex knocked it out of the park mastered from original master tape, gatefold cover and some of the best liner notes in booklet form I’ve ever read. $35! Insane value. Please buy now.

  11. So far so good. I've only verified that it's working, so I'll need to get back to you after I actually use it.

  15. Very nice, but am I the only one somewhat annoyed that he left the front lip of the middle cover proud of the two sides? Had to be an intentional aesthetic choice but not one I can understand. And freakin' sweet, Naaman. Time to make that ping pong table pay for itself?

  16. As a fan of several Manchester groups who were NOT necessarily smooth, crooner voices (Joy Division, Chameleons, Smiths, Fall, Durutti Column, Buzzcocks, etc.) I still thoroughly agree!

  17. Yeah, that is pretty laughable for what I assume it’s going to cost. I think I’m going to pick up a drum sander now to just round everything out and ensure Steve has a complete shop to use once the adaption paperwork is complete. Trying to decide between the Powermatic 2244 and Supermax 25-50.

  19. Been listening to the L3 & Ravensweood tonight/early morning and they are such a stunning performer! Any news on the T5? Still kicking myself a bit for letting one of the DHSA-2 prototype go 3 years ago.

  21. Possibly, it’s more the weight than the size I’m concerned with. We will see on how much they actually are. The wife strangely approved me to get whatever I wanted so... It’s lifetime (plus some) tool for sure. They all are really.

  23. Jeff, I think you'd be well served to pick up a jobsite table saw. https://www.toolnut.com/sawstop-jss-120a60-jobsite-pro-table-saw-with-cart-fence.html?gclid=Cj0KCQiAmfmABhCHARIsACwPRABqolUNDMc0HoBLymRZAWMU6BUumCgZwQis_RXQxp2RB5Vm-7ee55IaAqYvEALw_wcB For the type of projects you're building it's really not a tool to do without. How are you liking it Doug?

  24. FREE SFJAZZ High School All-Stars Big Band & Combo Winter Concert at 5pm PT/8pm ET today. Comprised of two ensembles - the Big Band, led by Paul Contos, and the Combo, led by Dann Zinn - the SFJAZZ High School All-Stars is pre-professional training program for current Bay Area high school age jazz musicians. In a typical year, the All-Stars rehearse and perform throughout the school year at the SFJAZZ Center, receive mentorship and clinics with leading jazz professionals, record a studio album, and appear at music festivals and competitions. This year however, the All-Stars have rehearsed in distanced sections or via video conferencing in order to keep all members safe and healthy. This virtual performance is the result of individual members working at the Center, at home, and online to create this beautiful musical collage. SETLIST "Pistachio" (comp. Drew Zaremba) "Imagine My Frustration" (comp. Billy Strayhorn, Gerald Wilson; arr. John Clayton) "Castle" (comp. Aidan Pratte) "Sleep With the Sun, Wake With the Moon" (comp. Daiki Nakajima)

  25. Oh that would explain the desire to smash with the router. Could put the bevels on first then cut the parts down to size on the miter, or use the miter and clamp them in place.

  26. It would appear that we've turned a corner and are now in proper winter mode for the foreseeable future. Snow tomorrow (4-6"), more Tuesday (~3") and then the possibility of a major storm at the end of next week. Not complaining, if it's going to be winter it might as well really be winter.

  29. Yes, that’s the one with the arms, but Rockler was out of stock. I have found that Boiled Linseed Oil hates residual wood glue and I am going to need to do some serious sanding before the next round. Really digging how the BLO does with the Mahogany.
