I had a pair of HomePods, and I’ve hated the Kindle Fire TV interface, so I like picked up a 4k AppleTV, a mount for it, some HomePod brackets and some aluminum angle and miscellaneous hardware. Made a few cuts, drilled a few holes and mounted everything to the TV wall mount. Then I paired the HomePods with the AppleTV and I have a much-improved setup on the cheap.

I refer a mechanical mean to keep the heatsinks on, easier for serviceability. I modified mine a bit with an extra heatsink to provide a conductive mean to transfer the heat to the chassis. The extra heatsink contacts the top plate once it's screwed on. The BJTs get real hot (John said of 74C sounds right). Radiative/convective heat transfer via the heatsinks in the small chassis space may not be enough. Try someway to get the heat to the chassis...

My Iron felt like the life was getting sucked out of it towards the end battling with the ground plane... I need to sort out how best to attach the heatsinks for the output transistors, a nice non conductive thermal tape of sorts, double sided... for the hopeful. Otherwise my first mini dynalo is working... although I have no dynamic phones to verify. For the chassis I’m going for modushop 40mm side flanges, other panels will be 2mm thick from FPE, black anodised I’m thinking. Amazing job Kerry thank you so much for the mini design.

Yes. AOT means Adjust On Test. It's not required but can be used to finesse the output voltage on the negative rail.

Condolences to you and your family Chris. Joanne lost her mother in part to vascular dementia and Alzheimer's, and my mother is on a similar journey. It is a cruel disease, taking part of the essence of your loved ones. #FuckDementia indeed.
