  1. Another fun weekend out autocrossing! Vroom, vroom! I never was able to put a clean run together and felt like I left at least a second or two out on the track, but we still were able to beat some of the modern 911 drivers. I was the only crossover in the field, and the most common thing I heard was "my wife really wants one of those!" I take it as a compliment. A few random observations: Had a ride along with my instructor driving his GT3. I see why people go crazy for them. What a machine. So much grip. I want one. Badly! There was a 911 Turbo in my run group and I can't believe how fast that thing is in a stright line. He was probably the second heaviest car in the field after me. Watching the older cars run the course is my favorite. They look so majestic out there and I'm glad the owners don't baby them. After-market exhaust on most cars is so stupid. You already are driving a sports car with factory sport exhaust. Making it twice as loud is silly. Some random photos I snapped.

  7. a couple mistakes that I know of in the output stage: the pot is 100 to 1K the CCS transistors must be paralleled as 30W from a single TO-220 is a bad idea

  12. Well, usa_love is right about one thing. Those Mjƶlnir Audio guys have a terrible reputation. Especially on head-case. Especially among the stats fanatics. Especially in the Stax Mafia. Which totally doesn't exist. Do I have to put /s? I feel like I have to put /s.

  13. I did. He confirmed it’s not a 300B output. He said the 300B isn’t powerful enough so it needed a Mosfat for the output, but I’m not really sure what that means. reference: CanJam NYC 2023 Impressions Thread (February 25-26, 2023) | Page 16 | Headphone Reviews and Discussion - Head-Fi.org so lets be specific 1) mosfet for output. lets rephrase that. 4 x apex class C high voltage power opamps. 2) 300B not powerful enough? pair of tubes is good for 18 watts. more than enough to damage your hearing. All of my tube designs that use el34 you can substitute emission labs 300b. with an adapter and extra filament transformers. Works great. plenty of power. including bh, gg, t2 and megatron. and justin's grand cayman. just because jack does not know how to correctly design amplifiers with 300b...
