  2. Interesting item. I use Pomona model 6341. On my third pair now – after some use it seems that the wire break at the handle edge - else I like them. Probe Master looks good so I ordered a pair. Can be bought in EU at https://eleshop.eu/probe-master-8150-spring-loaded-micro-tip-test-lead-kit.html and/or https://www.welectron.com/Probe-Master-8150-Spring-Loaded-Micro-Tip-Test-Lead-Kit_1 .

  3. Yesterday we took a day trip to Montreal so I could practice not speaking French. Visited the Archaeology Museum, had a nice lunch at an Asian bistro and walked around the city for a few hours.

  4. With the new pricing I think I’ll be getting the single burr Duo and the SSP MP burr. Also I should have my espresso machine back in a couple weeks!

  5. It almost sounds like something is oscillating. Do you have a bench supply you could power the protector with to see how it behaves in that situation? I've only built one protector board and haven't used it yet in an application. I was saving it for a CFA3. On my DynaFET (30V GRLV), I use one of Amb's boards since it is SE only.

  9. Another fun weekend out autocrossing! Vroom, vroom! I never was able to put a clean run together and felt like I left at least a second or two out on the track, but we still were able to beat some of the modern 911 drivers. I was the only crossover in the field, and the most common thing I heard was "my wife really wants one of those!" I take it as a compliment. A few random observations: Had a ride along with my instructor driving his GT3. I see why people go crazy for them. What a machine. So much grip. I want one. Badly! There was a 911 Turbo in my run group and I can't believe how fast that thing is in a stright line. He was probably the second heaviest car in the field after me. Watching the older cars run the course is my favorite. They look so majestic out there and I'm glad the owners don't baby them. After-market exhaust on most cars is so stupid. You already are driving a sports car with factory sport exhaust. Making it twice as loud is silly. Some random photos I snapped.

  10. It’s not very clear in the schematic above (I’m sorry), but D15 and D16 is a bi color LED with common cathode. Below the two LEDs are replaced with a bi color device. The purpose of the 555 is make the LED red when relay is disengaged and green when engaged. This is the way I found to get a simple red/green indicator working.

  11. RIP to my "Aunty Joyce." She was great friends with my mom from their early teens, and they lived in the same hometown for a bunch of years when they first raised a family; one of my best friends is her son. She was a kind and smart woman who still had a wonderful and sometimes biting sarcasm; I suppose that made her one of my favorites, too. She went downhill quickly, after an Alzheimer's diagnosis; though the signs were there longer. Larry lost his older brother to cancer more than a decade ago. Several years back his dad passed; and now his mom. My heart goes out to him as well. RIP Joyce, will certainly raise a glass tonight.

  13. We expect our icons to go on forever, and are shocked when they grow old and shuffle off. RIP Tina. On another RIP, Professor Vicky Neale at Oxford and a specialist in number theory, a broadcaster with Radio 4's More or Less, has died aged 39 from a rare form of cancer (and fuck cancer royally) https://people.maths.ox.ac.uk/neale/

  15. Hi guys, I spent 2 months building a T2 and today was expected to be the day of completion, but it exploded. When the power supply is not loaded, everything is fine and the correct voltage can be output. However, I connected the amplifier and turned on the power, and after 6 seconds of high voltage start-up, the power supply exploded. 10M90S I get it from MOUSER, it should not be a fake. I set both RV1 and RV2 in the center. The explosion killed the 10M90S,fqp8n80c,1N4007 and 1n4751a at +500V, and the same situation over at -500V. Did I do something wrong? Why did it explode?Expect someone to answer,THX
