  1. This is an actual transcription of a message I received from someone at Safford Brown Subaru named Mahi or Mahia or something, that started "Hey, this message is for Peter..."
  2. Toast and home made orange marmalade, nice cup of tea.

    Looks like I'll be hanging with Larry all weekend since none of you kool kids can make it. I might hang myself if a pair of his IEM cables.
  4. Think back to ancient prehistory when Telex messages were a thing. In those far distant days, I worked for a technology consultancy company. Now noise on a Telex line could give rise to garbled messages. This is one I received from a client company: "WHATEVER HAPPENS, THE ASSEMBLY MUST FIT IN A QWAK NOT P-KNOB"

    Give my regards to Larry (headphone addict}
  6. The best dance video ever made (?) - Dragon House:
  7. I also have Blue Suede Shoes by Carl Perkins
  8. I'm not actually listening to it, but going through some 78s my sister gave me, I found this one: I literally never saw Burl Ives's face without facial hair before that album cover. 😆
  9. It's a big claim, but I love how they each had a different style for the same song... no doubt many people have innovated since then...
  10. Paper Hearts by Sleep Theory (2023) https://album.link/i/1696307201 Example: Checking out the hype. This is only an EP that they have done so far. A modern Linkin Park and Evanescence and other bands? Very produced. No idea what they will sound like live. It is catchy - but that is because we have probably heard it before. I have not read lyrics to see if there is depth. But still interested.
  11. Yes it is. And it is suitably bitter, rich, orangy and tart. Far superior to store bought, according to my co-marmalade maker

    The insane perspective distortion brought on by the cameraphone's wide angle lens isn't even the weirdest thing about these photos.
  13. This is funny, I just bought some SRD-7's to use as donors for my own boxes. A SR-Lambda was included with one of those energizers and just look at that serial number... Aside from the foam in the earcups being crusty and the earpads having been replaced at some point, they play perfectly for a 45 year old set.
  14. Thank you, Dusty Chalk...very much! It's a funny thing to get attached to an inanimate object like a vehicle, but it was just one of those things...chasing to recreate it now and I feel very fortunate to have a good one to work with. Hopefully I don't screw it up...LOL. Sam
  15. Late lunch at Field & Tides. Fried oyster brussel sprouts, a crab salad jobbie, and redfish. Great little joint if you're ever in Houston. HS
  16. A lovely expression of voice.
  17. Just finished this. Gonna be very curious what other people think about it.

    Can't join you on this one. I agree we need a get together though.
