  1. You are amazingly right, Jacob. RIP to one classy and beautiful woman!
  2. Coil - Music To Play In The Dark Vol. 2 - freaky and good.
  3. Nice! I bet it'll drive the Senn's better,,,,, I've been actually quite enjoying mine. Definitely eeks out more detail than the iDSD Nano....and the slightly leaner sound doesn't bother me at all.....may just be the warmth of the iDSD is less neutral.
  4. ^^^ Watching this at work, without audio, and chuckling in the middle of a meeting.....can't imagine what it's like WITH audio! EDIT: Holy Fuck! Audio is priceless! Her voice is.....is.....oy.....
  5. Couldn't believe this when my wife told me it was suicide. So sorry to hear that.....RIP funny man, and sympathies to family, friends, and fans.
  6. Norway. Home of Great Fjords and rolling valleys of hair.....
  7. Sorry to hear that, Chris....that's my world after almost every vacation......
  8. Agreed, but explicitly stated what Antonio may have been thinking.....
  9. I'm getting a severe sense of deja vu on these, think I called them Barney The Dinosaur speakers..... But yeah, purple or not, would love them.....
  10. After a fairly inefficient day (lots of work, little actual progress), I came home tired and mentally a bit stressed. Checked my email for the multitude of job opportunities I seem to get, and one came in that was so mis-matched to my experience, I had to reply tongue-in-cheek. Here is my reply to the basic required duties of the position.....click to read if you care (I had fun with it, it de-stressed me, and the recruiter loved it)
  11. Happy Birthday!
  12. This x2. Condolences to the whole family
  13. Sorry for your loss... RIP Neko, may the memories be great
  14. Echo'd here, too. Sorry for your family's loss, Larry. And focus on the good memories & people, not the bad son.
  15. Happy Birthday!
  16. Taking a break from Hi-Res.... Got A Girl - I Love You But I Must Drive Off This Cliff Now Scott Pilgrim's girlfriend sings to a slower hip-hop-like instrumentation plus some extras. Pretty interesting stuff. EDIT: the more I listen, the more I like. Vocals are not so special, more of whispery pop, but she uses the voice well. And the music behind her is pretty cool.
  17. Finally got mine. Listened yesterday at work with Phonon's, and brought in the Senn 600's today, listening now. Fairly impressed....this seems to have a leaner sound than the ifi iDSD I got while waiting for this, but not in any way to detract from overall experience. Adds some nice air compared to iDSD, but not sure which I prefer with things like vocals and piano. Listening to 24/192 Bill Evans Waltz For Debby, it's fairly sublime, nice way to start my day since I'm in earlier than most others. Will compare that to DSD of the same, as well as play some other DSD I have (ELP Brain Salad Surgery, Pink Floyd Wish You Were here, Propaganda Wishful Thinking, and Belafonte At Carnegie Hall). Happy for a minimal-meeting day!! Head down, music on, I might even get some work done..... BTW....I have the Geek 700, not the 450; no issue to drive the Senn's. Does run quite warm, almost hot. Wonder about long-term reliability with things in such a small package.
  18. This is America....fuck yeah!
  19. If they actually go ahead in court, is that like two black holes coming together? Should we be worried about the future of Earth? Maybe a new catch phrase could be something like: Who would Al defend?
  20. Interesting, I knew Angel's Envy wasn't fully their own, the old owner of the local store mentioned that; but I didn't realize they are a "variant" of MGP as well..... Still enjoy it, though now I'd be less likely to buy it at the price.
  21. Very Happy Birthday Antonio! Edit: 50! Happy half century, this is my year as well.....
  22. I think Justin got tired of not having on-site shills
  23. Holy crap some weird stuff going on! Good luck to all needing it! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  24. La-Z-Boy has a (normally) decent in-home repair service, we've had a couple visits when we had a sleep sofa delivered and the delivery guys screwed some things up with the fabric. The techs who visited were good, and one made a valiant attempt at repair but had to have them ship a new one. The second one had to do some minor fabric work, and did it well. What REALLY surprises me is the fact that you had such structural problems Mike. They are a pricey company, but one usually gets what one pays for with them.
