Was that directed at me or Ironbut?
  2. At the very least he does do a good job with those car washes.
  3. Nice job on the Fo'ster. If I ever drive my WRX out to DC I'll turn it over to your capable hands along with 10k and let you go to work.
  4. Good luck, Larry! Come race with us once you heal up.
  5. Obviously I couldn't care less about diesel Porsches. I worry that there has been something rotten going on at the core of Volkswagen group for quite a while. The deeper this thing goes the uglier it seems to get.
  6. A Porsche has long been my dream car, but the deeper this thing goes the more harm they do to the brand. I won't be in the market for one for many years but some of the bloom has come off the rose.
  7. If you want mine for a week or so its all yours as long as you don't mind dropping it back in Sausalito. You can pick it up from me Saturday at the SF meet.
  8. Why not just go full reel-to-reel at that price point? The "Tape Project" albums on a good reel-to-reel sound as good as anything I've ever heard.
  9. Congrats, Royals! If it couldn't be one of my bay area teams I'm happy it was you guys!
  10. Hang in there, buddy! Sending positive vibes your way. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Works for me. I've been using this: http://www.amazon.com/Book-101-Opera-Librettos-Translations/dp/1884822797/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1445808548&sr=8-1&keywords=101+opera+librettos The ENO guides seem like a nice supplement

Can I ask where you are buying them?
  13. RIP Flip Saunders. Everyone I've heard speak of him always mentioned what a great guy he was before they ever talked about his basketball acumen. It is very sad that he is gone. The NBA family has lost a lot of good people in the last 12 months. Fuck cancer.
  14. A very informative post on the HD800s from our old pal Arnaud. http://www.head-fi.org/t/785577/sennheiser-hd800s-unveiled/315#post_12021524 I've been on the sideline about jumping back on the HD800 bandwagon after selling my 009s, but this new pair might be enough to convince me if the price is right. The HD600/650 are just so damn good that I haven't been jealous of the HD800 sound.
  15. If its under 2k I'm in no question.
  16. Oh fuck. http://www.head-fi.org/t/785577/sennheiser-hd800s-unveiled#post_12018462
  17. Very insightful, as usual. I was going to argue for the HD800 and SR009, but after thinking about it I agree with you.
  18. I guess I just don't get the portable appeal. Unless you are traveling all the time what is the point? I would think this stuff would be perfect for students, but the 3k cost would be a crap ton for them. Heck, it seems that for 3k you could probably get a used 007 and a used KGSS to run it.
  19. I agree. Having tested two there is a difference if you leave it on but it isn't that huge.
  20. I spit out my drink when I saw the price. I mean, how big can the market really be for $3k potable set-ups?
  21. If anyone in the bay area feels like borrowing mine just let me know as all it is sitting around doing nothing at present.

I had a great time at BAF. The creativity of the Bay Area DIY'ers is awesome. Some pics: http://imgur.com/a/Uf5Mi Link to Nelson's presentation: https://youtu.be/wa_k0abLpAU?t=12m10s
