  1. Yep, RIP Sam! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I had envisioned something more adult, like this, but the Mickey one is good too...
  3. Happy Birthday!
  4. Happy Birthday!
  5. Dunno if they would have anything, but you might look thru MillMax's catalog.
  6. Yep, those are rather practical if you just want to ride in any shoe. I ran something similar on my Trek 500 in the last year or so. Since switched back to eggbeater (also MTB). I had enough of walking on cleats in the '80's, thanks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Yep. Even though he is a 'loser' according to a certain POTUS... Best wishes for him, as I think he is a quality individual regardless of my disagreements with some of his positions. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. A few questions: 1) The air wires I presume are grounds? Ground(s) aren't accommodated in the connector pin pattern? (I didn't look at my boards obviously) 2) How did you attach the heat sinks? Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Not sure on the stat amps, but the GRLV is an excellent LV supply, and a step up from others such as Amb's sigma22, etc.
  10. The GRHV is high voltage. Must have. It apparently contains a low voltage PSU using 7815/7915 chip regs on it. Instead of using the low voltage section of that, some people use the GRLV low voltage regulator. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. It seems a lot of theJapanese companies are this way. TKD anyone? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. When I upgraded my 2012 Mini (i7) from 4G to 16G, I did notice it as well but from what I can tell, the extra 8G is rarely if ever used. SSD made a huge difference as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I told him about the Schitt, but he said he is going with a FIIO Q1. I also remembered that I have his Class D Audio SDS-254 with HD PSU, including upgraded Panasonic TSHA caps, in the basement and should sell this for him. This has both SE and bal. inputs, 250W/ch 4 ohm and 125W/ch 8 ohms. It is in a utilitarian Par Metals case, no frills. He had me build this for him after his Counterpoint SA220 blew a channel and I couldn't fix it. He liked it better than the Counterpoint, better than my Odyssey Stratos, and better than a pair of Bel Canto Ref1000s that a friend had loaned him. This was on Apogee speakers, which are pretty demanding. Any interest, pm me. This would be pretty inexpensive. Link: http://www.classdaudio.net/amplifier-kits/sds-amplifier-kits/sds-254-kit.html
  14. My brother is looking for an inexpensive amp/DAC combo for use with his laptop (PC), and probably a set of Fostexes. He mentioned the FIIO E18, but is open to suggestions. He says he can get that for ~$60 on Amazon, and also mentioned a Topping NX2, which is even cheaper. I know, I know, non-HC approved, but it is what it is. He also mentioned that he mentioned that he doesn't have space for his headphone amp anymore, so is looking to sell it. It is an original Torpedo (I built it for him), IIRC from the prototypes build. PM me if there is any interest for this. He says he hasn't even used it while in South America, but I know he used it when he was still here in the US.
  15. Hmmm, university student(?) and still spoon fed? This thread is 45 pages. Read them. If the content of that doesn't answer your previous post, then there are other threads showing builds, etc. Your previous post doesn't elicit confidence in you making a successful build
  16. Congrats Reks! Hope they see the light and you get it!
  17. Happy Birthday Jose!
  18. Happy Birthday Mike! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. My experiences involved D.C. Servos on I/V stages (0 feedback, D.C. coupled). Opamps I tried included the OP27, TL071 and TL081 (or dual equivalent). The TL081 was the best of the bunch in terms of lowest offset. Stages were either rbroer's (diyaudio) or Colin's (cetoole). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Happy Birthday Birgir! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Fixed that for you. And yep, agreed.
  22. Couldn't wait, and after waffling between the 6S and the 7, went with a 7 128G. Just getting stuff transferred over, think I am done. We'll see Thing is a shit ton faster than my old 4S...
  23. ^ An important distinction; across the 2 ohm resistors, not from one end to ground.
  24. No, unless someone has extras they are willing to part with. The Gerber file(s) to have boards made are available. Read the thread. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Ok Donald
