I don't think the board will fit an Alps RK27 pot. Alpha or TKD 4CP-601. Not sure which the 1.5 board is set up for... because of the pinout of the Alpha, it is difficult to impossible to do both in the same space. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I could see where filter/anti-aliasing caps could make subtle differences in sound. I can also see where Vishay can fuck up a wet dream as well... talk about a clusterfuck of a company, buying up all sorts of formerly great companies and raping/pillaging them Not a big wire believer, so the copper->silver/gold thing is kind of nebulous to me.

Late post/comment. Once again, really digging the casework. I hadn't asked in the carbon thread (IIRC), but how is the lettering done. It doesn't look like engraved/infilled? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Or something like MG Corona Dope might help?

Sometimes you can use normal crimpers/needle nose pliers plus soldering on them, but yes, agreed on the $300+ prices one can see on specialty crimp tools. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

You might take a look at something like the TE Dynamics line, which appear to be rated @600V. You would need 5.08mm pitch to fit the board(s)? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Congrats CJ! And am I the only one here who thinks that MBAs are overrated? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

RIP Jerry and Dick. I actually saw Dick Gregory back in the late '60s IIRC in Iowa.

Sorry for your loss Kerry, and all of the above. Losing a parent or in-law parent is tough. And Jacob, just saw this about the job today. Sorry, you can only control what you can control... I would agree that is sounds like they already had a decision and were going thru the motions in interviewing others. Hang in there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Started watching this as well, very good and agree with above! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yep, if it is already 8 speed, it should be 130mm rear spacing. A set of 8 speed brifters, some cable stops and cables/housing and you would be set. Other that its still Shitmano

The guy on BF got back to me and said I can have the downtube mount, just needs an address. You want to pm me your address and I'll just have him ship them to you. He's leaving tomorrow for the Dairyland Dare, so wouldn't be until next week sometime before he could ship this. As for converting this to more modern indexed using brifters/ergos, you would need to replace the rear wheel, rear derailleur, and the shift/brake levers. Maybe the chain rings or crankset as well. You would need 130mm rear spacing which isn't done easily on an aluminum frame like a Cannondale. Not like steel, which you can cold set. It is only 2mm per side, assuming yours is set up for 6-7 speed (126mm). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

PM'd the guy, will let you know the outcome. Also, another thread on bikeforums. Some shop in CA had them at one time (2011). Also some discussion of the NOVA kit. http://www.bikeforums.net/classic-vintage/742734-cannondale-black-lightning-help-i-m-lost.html

I'll try contacting him tonight. I guess I'm a bit unclear as to what your problem is, and I've never worked on a cannondale before. Is the shifter itself broken or is it just the shifter boss assembly? I would still try calling Kozy's or other dealers as you never know what they might have laying around. Particularly if it is an older mechanic or owner who knows these and knows how to fix them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Kevin, I found this on bikeforums: http://www.bikeforums.net/classic-vintage/1086619-cannondale-shifter-boss.html http://www.bikeforums.net/classic-vintage-sales/1098978-shimano-group-cheap.html ^ Shimano group, sold, from a cannondale. I could pm the buyer and see if he would part with the shifters or at a minimum the cannondale mounting boss stuff... http://www.bikeforums.net/classic-vintage-sales/1098978-shimano-group-cheap.html http://www.bikeforums.net/bicycle-mechanics/231963-interface-problem-mounting-indexed-dt-shift-lever-cannondale-3-0-a.html http://www.bikeforums.net/classic-vintage/717549-cannondale-downtube-shifter-bosses.html http://vintagecannondale.com/ Is this the replacement you bought? Supposedly according to one or more of the above threads, a Cannondale dealer could get the correct parts. Kozy's is a Cannondale dealer, but it looks like there are a number of them in the Chicago area. Might even have one laying around. http://www.cycle-frames.com/bicycle-frame-tubing/NOVA-LEVER-BOSS-KIT-FOR-AL-FRAME.html

IIRC some people on bike forums/classic and vintage forum know how to fix those. I can ask for you if you like. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I thought Kevin had stated quite awhile ago that some of the good DC supplies (original Dynalo, certainly a GRLV) are quieter that batteries? Maybe he wasn't talking about current lithium ion or whatever (perhaps it was SLAs he referred to). Also, I thought USB cables had some controlled impedance conductors, etc. which would seem to preclude DIY cables from performing well? I could be wrong...

I guess you need to mind what you're doing around that thing, eh? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
