Do you pee in the sink?
This one just had to be fixed. This thread alone has lowered HCs S/N 10 percentage points. I would expect a thread like this to be elsewhere, not here. Too bad.

DNA (Donald North Audio) Headphone Amp
Most of us, probably. I suspect that he got much more of an answer than he expected. Now he either has to be quiet or be very technically savvy in a response. I predict that the former will be the case, but I've been known to be wrong from time to time.

Cancelled: SoFla Mini Meet 7/17 - 7/19
OK, back on track then. Why don't you take your sister with you to the meet? What's the matter, doesn't she like whisk(e)y?

Kitty Talk
I talked about radioactive treatment for our cat with our vet. She said that she often sees kidney problems later in cats that get it. This is hardly scientific, but we decided not to go that direction. If our cat were younger, we would have explored that option more carefully.

I think looking around for a new vet sounds like a smart idea. He/she doesn't seem to be up on modern veterinarian products. Also, I forgot this in my last post. My sister uses this method to give her cat pills.

What did you do today?
“Times have changed. / Our kids are getting worse. / They don't obey their parents. / They just want to fart and curse. / Should we blame the government / or blame society? / Or we should we blame the images on TV? / Hell, no. / Blame Canada. / Blame Canada. / With all their hockey hullabaloo / and that bitch Anne Murray Beefy, too. / Blame Canada. / Blame Canada!"

I'm truly sorry about your loss and sorry to have caused more pain. I thought about not posting it but decided that you needed to know about this form of medication. You might want to ask your vet about it. You might want to check out other vets if you have other pets or get another in the future.

I understand. Our cat is the same way. The tapazole we have is in cream form. You put a dose from a syringe on your finger and then rub it inside the ear, where there is little hair. We have to dose him twice a day, but it's become like petting him and he doesn't fight it now.

I'm sorry about that. It's always so hard to lose one's pets. Couldn't her hyperthyroid be controlled with Tapazole? Our oldest cat also has hyperthroidism but is doing well on Tapazole. We've stabilized his weight and, apparently, his metabolism.

HD800? Another rumor?
You're welcome Dinny. Though I doubt that a new HR cable will be anywhere near as affordable as a retermination/adapter combo.

HD800? Another rumor?
HeadRoom sells a balance cable. I don't know the price. Another approach is to balance the cable you have and buy/build an XLR -> SE adapter. I don't have a balanced system and use such an adapter to listen to the balanced HP-2 that I bought from JP#s.

Classical Recording/Performance Recommendation
Of course, Schubert was a contemporary of Beethoven rather than pre-Beethoven. Good music though.

JH Audio stuffs
Not bad. Shouldn't that be "deafening silence"?

JH Audio stuffs
Come on. We want to hear your best ipodpj version of how they sound. The fanboys will be thicker around these than with the gd-audio Phoenix.

Good places to eat and drink in Europe?
Great pictures! One of my bigger regrets when I lived in France (for 20 months in the mid-80's) was not getting out to the Alsace region. These pictures remind me that I still need to do that.
