  1. It appears that the power button and its label are treated as a unit that is centered from top to bottom. I agree that it would look better if the button were centered. I don't care whether there is a power label or not.
  2. How about: "Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, my client really screwed up. Please have mercy."
  3. I prefer it the other way. You should do it the way you prefer, of course.
  4. Because they'd be freaking good.
  5. Thanks for all the suggestions guys. I went with Wireshark mostly because it was the first one suggested. It showed a TCP problem. Further investigation showed that parts of full size packets were being lost. At work, we recently changed the router. This was over the VPN and the first time I tried it that way since the changeover. Reducing the MTU of my connection allows me to work from home again. Hopefully our IT consultants will be able to figure out what the router problem is (bad MTU setting, no MTU discovery, ...?) and fix it. Worst case is a little network performance is lost over the VPN.
  6. Maybe your browser thinks it's on another site?
  7. You can always be Type A Asshatty.
  8. If he's smart, he'll make you throw in a couple of cigars too.
  9. I'm having a bizarre network issue. Do you have a favorite free network sniffer that you can recommend for a Vista system? Thanks in advance for your recommendations.
  10. I look at that picture and just feel the magic smoke aching to be free.
  11. Happy Birthday!
  12. Rick, the HD800 works well with my Platinum Extreme. Try something like 2c51 and 6080/6as7, or 6sn7/7n7 and 5998 combinations.

How did Goldeneye get on that list?
  14. Yeah, Dinny's wife might hear you.
  15. Yes, nice job. I bet you can even fix SP amps.
  16. They did make a wise decision to limit the HF2 to the number they had made with the error. They wouldn't be able to win going forward from there. If they fixed the error, the people with F1 would bitch and there would be another shit storm if they didn't fix the error. Of course, some people will complain because more won't be made, but that's the least of the three evils.
  17. Yep, they can use a lot of memory.
  18. Condolences to you and your ex.
  19. I'm curious Dan, why not? They are pretty standard now and work reasonably well with all browsers. Anyway, I'm glad not everybody feels the same way as I make my "toy money" writing them.
  20. McAlister used to be thought of as "worse than Singlepower". I'm not sure that's the case any longer.
  21. I bought a used one, so I can't say for sure what a new router would mean. Generally when changing the security protocol it's a two step process: 1. On the router, you have to configure the new protocol (wpa2 in this case). Generally this means means setting the new protocol and giving a new connection password. 2. For each computer/device that attaches to the network, you have to find and connect to the new wireless network that you created in step one. This will require you to enter the new connection password. If you have a lot of computers/devices to attach to the network, step 2 is a bit of a pain. But everything is pretty straightforward. When I upgraded, I had 3 laptops and a printer to add to the network. It only took 15 minutes to add them. Later I bought a PS3. It was trivial to add to the network. So you can do this.
  22. Happy Birthday.
  23. Yep. Prepaid non-view room is $81/night. I've had a slight change in plans. Stacy and I will be coming up Thursday and spending Thursday night in San Jose. She'll work at Cisco Thursday and Friday. Then we'll be at the Doubletree Friday and Saturday. See you all there.
  24. Yay! There's nothing like Xmas in July!
