  1. It's a matter of prioritization. With the exception of Peter, nobody in the US cares about tea or how long it takes a kettle to boil.
  2. I predict that as usually happens, some people will prefer the HD800 and some people the PS-1000 and neither side will understand the other.
  3. You can shoot just down the street from the hotel at CanJam.
  4. Very nice plug. Of course you had to had to have such a safeguard since most houses in the UK are wired by Lucas.
  5. FIFY
  6. Happy Birthday Dan. I hope that you have a great one!
  7. No, that's Lily's job.
  8. Good, I was just about to suggest that maybe you needed to get the girlfriend out of your system. Still ...
  9. Happy Birthday!
  10. iPod? I get some of my best listening in when traveling as there is usually nothing else to do.
  11. My 8 year old Eureka canister vacuum broke yet another part. The local repair shop was selling the Miele Carina for such a great price, I snapped one of the remaining two up. Carina + 2 boxes of bags and filters cost $299 including tax. The cheapest I've found it online is $399 and that's without the extra bags and filters. Gee, aren't I a sweet homemaker?
  12. Happy Birthday Colin.
  13. Thanks Antonio. I mistyped the model. It is S4101.
  14. My wife bought a Formosa model S4104 guitar. She bought it because it's signed by Stevie Nicks. Just for kicks, I decided to see what Formosa guitars were about. Google returns no useful information. Does anybody know anything about Formosa guitars?
  15. Happy Birthday Steve! :jbl:
  16. I think that as long as you didn't install the controller in your bladder or eat it, you're probably OK.
  17. I've been waiting since late October for this Samsung TV to get cheap. I'm surprised as its price seems to fluctuate up and down. This weekend it's on sale at my favorite online store. It's almost the cheapest I've seen it and I love OneCall.com. So I finally pulled the trigger. Of course, now that I finally went ahead, the price will probably drop like a rock next week.
  18. Happy Birthday!
  19. This may possibly be the best and most apt oxymoron I've heard in my life. Next to this, "military intelligence" makes bundles of sense.
  20. Shitload of painkillers (hydrocodone-apap 5-325)!
  21. Happy Birthday Stephen
  22. Here's the scoop. I went down off a dirt road at about 45 mph. I could tell right away that I had broken ribs. I'm getting way to much experience in this. The nearest hospital to where I crashed was 45 miles away in Pahrump, NV. I didn't want to go there. The next morning, someone with a truck drove 5 hours from Desert Hot Springs (near Palm Springs) to pick me up. On the way, one of the fellows in our group seized his engine so he picked him up first. Then we drove the 5 hours back to Desert Hot Springs. I was feeling pretty good (people were throwing percecet at me) so I attended Big Frank's birthday bash. That was the main point of the trip. I had a good time at the part and did not drink any alcohol. The next morning someone drove a pickup from Santa Barbara to Desert Hot Spring. We load the seized bike on it and all the unused equipment. I loaned my bike to the fellow whose bike had siezed. We left DHS about 12:30 and got to SB around 5. This included a 30 minute lunch stop. Once in SB, Stacy and Tom (the fellow who drove the truck) moved my stuff from the truck directly to the garage. The it was directly off to Cottage Hospital for me. After some xrays and CT scans, they decided that I had broke ribs 1-9 on the right side and ribs 1-2 on the left. They also decided that I have a hemothorax and that a chest team would be necessary. It was very difficult to put in across the broken ribs and the surgeon used the f-word at least 3 times. Even being greatly anesthesized, it hurt like hell. Lastly I was taken up and had an epidural catheter put in so that my ribs could be directly soaked with wonderful opiates. They pulled the chest tube yesterday and removed the epidural catheter today. Finally, they let me go. I'm sitting (mostly comfortably) at home. Al long as I keep up with the painkillers (Norco in this case) I feel fine. I'll probably post less but will keep you posted as I progress. Thanks one last time for the help. This is a great forum.
  23. And the lawyers too!
  24. Hi Everybody, Just got home from four days in the hospital. I had a hemothorax too and needed a chest tube. I'll write a more detailed post once the animals get their attention. Thanks again to everybody for the help you gave me. It all helped a lot.
