You're making the mistake of taking seriously audiophile-ly anything Patrick did. He wasn't using reason, he was an online performance artist. He did things just to get reactions.

The National are very popular amongst indie hipster music snobs (and I don't mean that disparagingly -- more like, self-deprecatingly).

So what is being done about the allergies? I highly recommend addressing them now, otherwise it will all end in heartbreak.

A bit more context wouldn't hurt. Don't just assume everyone knows what you're talking about. Even a link back to a previous post would help.

I kind of hate sweeping statements like that. I mean, we're just conjecturing here, what's the harm in that? Sounds a little too much like, "just listen to the sweet, beautiful music".
