Any good? I really didn't like the way the first season ended with all that weird montage business. If it's more of that, I'll pass.

Happy birthday, Ken! (party favour noise)

I noticed that, too, I wonder if they didn't put a lot of emphasis on the audio outs because most people will be connecting it digitally to an audio system. I wonder if the UDP-205 will be any better. I wonder if there will be an audio upgrade version, or if they will just expect you to get a DAC.

Actually, just bought the whole EP and the Fragile Deviations, so...listening to those.

New Nine Inch Nails track!

Man in the High Castle -- I really hated that they adulterated the original story with a love triangle, but...that all washed away in the first 5 minutes of season 2...goddamn, I forgot how great this is.

Yeah, the premise is borderline intolerable, but there's enough good stuff around it that it's still worth watching.

That's a whole lot of sherpa-ing.

What? No. If someone wants to believe that discrete sounds better, they need a product to satisfy their placebo tendencies. -

I don't know -- I'd rather listen to Gerwin Eisenhauer, he has a most deft touch, and was doing (what I consider, IMHO) more interesting things. I call: -
Thanks, the good doctor. Yes, it's definitely a sinus infection. In answer to "have I been prescribed...": sort of/maybe/not sure, I've gotten so good about preventing sinus infections that I don't even see a doctor about it any more. I vaguely remember (from years ago) telling my doctor that I did the saline spray, and getting their approval, so that's what I still do. Something like one of these: ...which has a self contained aerosol that pushes on a bag of saline water out the nozzle.

Easily my favourite Blackfield album.

But you're still using the same math, just different numbers. I don't think overall that's what you'd get. You could get as good as that here and there, but your average error would still be bad. -
Dungen, Häxen -- some pretty cool, vaguely gothy, vaguely proggy, instrumental music

That's some pretty fucking ____ growth, dude! Me: Reggie Watts: Spatial (dude makes me giggle every 5 minutes, at least) and The OA.

Original analog tapes. I always thought Wish You Were Here was much better produced. What I hear that is inferior about Animals I'm not sure isn't on the master tapes, so I doubt there'll be audible improvement, but ... I gots to know. I guess I'll find out.

At least six people in the fireworks market explosion near Mexico City earlier today. Man, I just can't see how anyone would survive something like that. Fireworks/gunpowder/ammunition, and magnesium factories have been some of the most devastating explosions I've ever seen on YouTube.

You did two bottles of rye whiskey today? ...or wrong thread? I'm kind of cheering for the former...

180g 2016 remaster of Pink Floyd's Animals for $30. Use this link if you want a copy, too, please. I get a credit. Every time they send me their daily suggestion via text, it's usually a decent -- but not the best -- price. The prices I'm seeing for 180g 2016 Animals right now is more in the $55 range. Since it's one of my favourite albums of all time -- if not my the favourite album of all time -- I'm a gettin' it.

Thanks, guys. It's sort of chronic -- I've learned to prevent sinus infections for the most part simply by keeping my sinuses clear, staying on top of all my allergy medicines. I've actually gotten so good at preventing sinus infections that even when I get sick and one of the symptoms is congestion, I can still take care of it by lots of gentle irrigation, but this one has me stumped. I can breathe through my nose right now, but I still have that -- WARNING: TMI, STOP READING HERE IF THIS SORT OF DISCUSSION MAKES YOU SQUEAMISH -- green discharge that I associate with a sinus infection. It's not the worst I've ever had -- with that sickeningly sweet smell -- but I'd usually be back to clear by now, so I don't know what's going on -- maybe there's a pocket that the irrigation isn't getting to. But yeah, one more day and I'm going back to the doctor.
