I kinda got the impression from what I read that it's not intended to work without an iPhone ever. (As opposed to just "without an iPhone...once in a while".) As in, maybe one's required to activate the watch, etc. But no, don't know that for a fact.

Also, does anyone remember my quest for an ana-digi watch a long time ago (got over it) (basically, a watch face with hands and pips presented digitially) -- this is basically that. So kinda wouldn't mind a standalone version. An iPod Touch-lette, as it were.
