  1. Happy birthday, Jack! (vuvuzuela noise)
  2. Happy belated birthday, Tom! (party favour noise)
  3. Forester is a nice vehicle, it's really down to just how well it matches requirements. Sounds like you thought it through. I almost got one myself about 10 years ago when I got the Suzuki, and it's only gotten better since then.
  4. Lollers @ "Puss N Boots" (speakers mentioned are ATC)
  5. Great googly moogly, blue watch is blue (catching up on older posts). How blue can a watch get? The answer is none. None more blue.
  6. Nice! I missed that. Didn't even realize it was an option, now that I think about it.
  7. Yeah. On everything. EDIT: except I think you need to add one more qualifier to the second-to-last sentence, because if you read just that, it might seem like Jeff's thing, but I don't think it's Jeff's thing. I just don't know how to qualify it. Something about "feels", perhaps? There ... Me (probably old news, as I'm a bit of a slow reader): Parasite by Mira Grant in non-virtual reading; The 9 Steps to Financial Freedom by Suze Orman on Kindle/phone-blet (I am definitely the target audience to both these).
  8. Recreating childhood photographs:
  9. For me -- it's not so much that it's inconvenient, as I just don't know yet until I've heard it for myself (the difference between DSD files played straight vs. converted). I should add -- I've always liked the performance of Sony headphone jacks on the MDR-7506/-V6. So I'm sure it'll sound good at least on the MDR-7506/-V6. I keep wanting to say, "...on Sony headphones", but I keep forgetting to try the CD3000s on anything, so if I get this, I'll definitely try that combination as well. But I'm sure some of it is spent on branding and style as well.
  10. ^ great album, his best, IMHO. Me: The Colourfield, Virgins and Philistines and Deception -- so great.
  11. Yeezh. Glad to hear no major injuries yet. But yeah, I've seen some horrific pictures on Facebook of wine cellars with >50% of the bottles dumped on the ground. Me: slept 'til fucking 3pm -- haven't done that in weeks...wth? Woke up to a charley horse. Fuck, I hate those things. Off to the store to get some bananas.
  12. Yeah, I don't know what I was thinking writing that, should change it to this:
  13. Star Trek: Axanar This looks awesome, and I'm not even a trekkie (although I will admit to being a fan). Just some fine storytelling with some fine casting. (Just in case you missed it over in Ric's Trailers thread.) And the idea to make the intro video entirely a prequel is choice.
  14. I don't know if I'd ever attempt anything that claimed "inspired by ... LS3/5a" in anything other than the nearfield, even if it does have a port on the back (and coaxial drivers).
  15. link $500 street for portable DSD. Color me intrigued.
  16. Ah, the Japanese pressing. Me: Pet Shark, Le Debut -- instrumental rock
  17. It's like the flower equivalent of a Anton Corbijn photograph.
  18. For science, goddamnit!
  19. Which one? >)
  20. Thanks. Wouldn't that be a problem (in as much as it would be a problem) with every such vacuum sealer, or are some of them better about dealing with accidentally-sucked-up liquid? I see that some of the more expensive models have a moist/dry setting, is that what that's for? Never mind, I'll do some research (wanders off to gtfm)...
  21. Looks like you got the vacuum sealer, remind me, please, which one did you get and how is it working out?
