    Seconded and the motion passes.
  2. I bet more Americans have seen Young Ones than Drop Dead Fred.

Borscht. Beets and cabbage. That works, too.
  4. I don't get NS10s -- I kind of get the impression that mixers and masterers actually take them seriously. I almost mentioned them with the Avantones, but in the end decided not to as per above confusion.
  5. Actually, I think they're being used as two different preferences/flavors. Genelecs and ATCs are both considered upper tier, even (especially?) by those in the industry. The go-tos for "real world" are the infamous Avantones.
  6. I suspect he listens to them one at a time, rather than simultaneously.
  7. That's some serious fucking diffusion.
  8. What, that they're KEF's flagship bookshelf speakers?
  9. Blurred City Lights, Anamorphic -- another Dean Garcia project, which I dig more'n the others for some reason, he seems to have gotten a little less heavy-handed with the reverb, so it ends up sounding rockier Soon to be followed by Moon Safari's Blodljud
  10. Well...only in the same way that the LS50 is a poor man's blade.

As having a strong ethnic background, I feel left out.
  12. I'll have to watch that later, I still remember that moment -- I was watching it live (on television, but you know what I mean). I can't watch more than one episode at a time. It's...just...harrowing... Just for another example, part way through season 2, all that had to happen was for anyone from the Larsen family to show up on screen, and my eyes would start to well up like Pavlov's dogs would start salivating at a bell. And so few people die! They were investigating one murder -- one! -- not just for season one, but for seasons one AND two. And I still feel completely emotionally wrought. Agreed as to the writers -- they are the true stars of the show. They way they molded that concept into Holder's vernacular was just superb. But the direction and the delivery is superb.
  13. WTF, dude, that's actually the appropriate response.
  14. Smoov, Al. was already going to post that before I saw John's post.
  15. They're KEF Blades, I think those are uni-q drivers (coaxial). I like the mixed media -- I would think things like burlap and canvas would have different flavors of sound absorption. Very cool idea.
  16. Link is the iTunes link.
  17. Anathema, Distant Satellites
  18. Okay, you're right, I had a different understanding of "planned obsolescence" for decades. I blame my father. (I've already explained my understanding, so I won't repeat it.)
  19. Pretty cool idea -- uses T-shirts to decorate DIY bass traps a la Ethan Winer, and uses artwork to lightly diffuse behind the speakers. I think the latter might be trapping as well.
  20. Ooooh...., that's where it is, I have to click on 0 warning points...I'll try and remember that next time...thanks, Nate.
  21. So anger. Much hate. It's been so long since I've banned anyone, I've forgotten how. I think he just still wants his account cancelled. EDIT: Nope, that wasn't it, just reported him to a moderator.
  22. I've been eyeballing eCost lately. They have a 2.5GHz machine with 8G ram in there somewhere.
  23. I plan to start watching it, but doubt I will watch the whole thing tonight. I do know someone on Facebook that has probably finished it, though.
  24. Your haiku is imperfect.
