  2. Yeah, that's not exactly slackin' in the digital source department.
  3. Yes, you can use the Oppo 105D as a USB DAC. Don't you have a Rega CD player?
  4. Yeah, I don't know why the image says, "distinctive" -- it's based on "listener preference".

With Coldplay, it's always, "spot the influence" -- in this case...Fever Ray? Anyway, as much as I usually hate them, I think this one's pretty:
  6. I made some slamming meat sauce yesterday -- ground turkey, tomato sauce, olives, garlic, more garlic, oregano, dill, thyme, marjoram, and some wine, both in and out of the sauce. :groucho: Crock pot + garlic ==
  7. But they said they've improved, so you have to give them the chance to make it right.
  8. Uh-oh.
  9. Happy birthday! (party favour -copter noise) I'm not very good with photoshop, otherwise I'd make a picture of a party-favour-copter, but just imagine 5 party favours blowing outward. It's more disturbing an image than intended.
  10. New Notwist has some real keepers, and has already shown up on HDTracks (although it's 24/44.1...waiwha?). Also previewed the new Beck, that had a couple of strong tracks, too. Also listened to a lot of jazz yesterday -- Miles, Bill Evans, etc. Will probably listen to more today, need to keep my blood pressure down. Damm stooped koworkrz.
  11. Man.
  12. More shnow here, too.
  13. Oh, that's right. The better sale is when B&N puts them on sale (IIRC), I had forgotten that when I posted, and didn't bother double-checking, since I'm not getting anything. Sorry about that.

  15. She so quirky. Me: London Grammar You know, on paper, alternative, electro, sparse, minimal...sounds like The XX. In reality? Sounds nothing like The XX. That said, I love 'em both.
  16. Man, Ikea has been discontinuing a lot of cool things. Now this?!?!? I miss the lavender laptop desk.
  17. I don't see the same issue on capitalone360.com. EDIT: And the stupid thing is, capitalone.com is probably fine, too. I mean, in order to exploit that, they'd have to plant a .js or .css on my computer or on my router, which they would have had to already have had access to...
  18. Local show is freakin' sold out.
  19. After 0:35 I was bored, so I hit pause. No I didn't.
  20. Yeah, not a safe assumption. There's no such thing as no risk, there's only manageable risk.
  21. I refuse to use capitalone.com on my computer until they fix it. I mean, that's the login page. I noticed this because I use noscript, and the only domain I should have to open up for that page is capitalone.com, yet for some reason (that I have been too lazy to track down), it also wants 127.0.0.1 and...whatever your router is. Feel free to double-check for yourselves, I would love to have outside corroboration. And if it is just me, I'd like to know that, too, for obvious reasons.
