  1. Good luck, I hate people like that.
  2. So why is Abraham van Helsing without the mortality weakness/immortality strength? Is that on purpose or just a slip? Also: lollers on the last column.
  3. Zombi -- great synthy proggy goodness. With live drums and some Mellotron and some other stuff, occasionally, but all instrumental.
  4. Well...by sweet, I mean relatively. I'm looking forward to a 9-to-5 job, so anything that avoids the Springfield mixing bowl is "sweet".
  5. I've looked at maps -- Reston would be a sweet commute, I would avoid the beltway altogether -- PM sent.
  6. Vinyl on sale at Fab.com There's actually some good shit in there, don't know how good the prices are.
  7. Well they're definitely not moving now. If someone is in the market, they should point out to the seller that that's what Koss is selling them for right now for new, warranty, etc. At worst, you've let him know how steep his competition is, and he can take them off the market until later.
  8. "Hey, have you seen...?" "Yeah, we've crossed paths."
  9. Appreesh on the couch offer. And no, I didn't know that. :\
  10. I felt like I was on the phone all day. 2 phone interviews, and one networking/catching up with an old friend that happened to contract Lyme disease. Yeezh. At least, both of the phone interviews went well. The downside is, Google doesn't currently have anything in the DC or Reston, VA offices, so it looks like Mountain View if I go that route. Possibly Boulder, but most probably Mountain View.
  11. Happy Birthday! (party favour noise)
  12. Now they need to teach it Rock-paper-scissors-lizard-spock.
  13. Happy Birthday! (party favour noise)
  14. Understood, appreciate the input. I'm still thinking that I should learn at least something in the field so that I can say I know it.
  15. That is a thing of beauty. I love Burial; I usually hate dubstep, but that was quite tolerable due to the omission of the one cliche' of dubstep that I hate (you know what it is -- "that sound"); I love watching dancers that know how to move; I love slow motion abuse; I love math.
  16. Yeah, wish I had taken some free Simulink classes from Matlab when I had the chance. I wonder if I can still take those...
  17. Yeezh. Here's to hoping the fires get put out soon!
  18. So to answer my own question, there are many 'Model-driven engineering' tools. Actifsource may have been the one that was mentioned. Anyone use any of these?
  19. You are now my top friend.
  20. Hey, 'Dusty Chalk' is real. It's just not my given name...er...my birth name...or whatever you want to call it. But I am he. For realsies. Is that you friending me? Sorry, I don't know anyone's real name over here.
  21. That reminds me...joining now...under the name, 'Dusty Chalk'.
  22. I think 'almost always' is overstating things, but at least you explained the appeal -- gambling!
  23. Woot-off, currently there's a BOC -- I never understood the appeal of these things...
  24. For the record -- forest fires happened long before there were arsonists, and smokey, and matches. They are a natural phenomenon. It's natural selection at work, and it's a form of composting in nature. (Over simplification, but that's pretty much a synopsis I was given long ago.) That said, I don't wish anyone being in the path of them, and wouldn't deny you the desire to put every last one of them out. EDIT: Me: bought my mom groceries. Yes, that took all fucking day.
  25. I finally tried quinoa a couple months ago -- that sounds delicious, Shelly.
