Deluxe Flat Pads for Grado Headphones
mypasswordis replied to NotoriousBIG_PJ's topic in Audio Accessories
Real headphones use real earpads. -
The last ep just got real juicy. Back with the maniacal BB pace now
-
Tonight's the big night!! 73 wins, kobe's last game, and rockets epic choke to miss the playoffs.

If you search Dy294 on ebay you will find a lot of results Cheaper and easier to just replace the 1968 ccses with 10m90s and some resistors though
-
Wait, one channel alone is much quieter in terms of total volume or noise volume? I believe I read that you replaced all the resistors in the batteries with Xicons (and everything can be adjusted correctly) and added gate stopper resistors to the FETs... have you done the other mods? Power supply mods/fixes and added 5pF 1kV caps across 100k feedback resistors? It's better if you say everything you've tried already in one easy to read post so people aren't just shooting in the dark.
-
What exactly have you tested so far in terms of trying to swap channel noise? Or are both channels exhibiting the same amount of noise now?
-
I don't know what just happened, but there was some pretty bad basketball out there. Refs gifted the Warriors the win... there multiple fouls on Lance on the last Grizzlies possession.
-
Nuggets just beat the Spurs in epic clutch fashion, like they did the Warriors earlier in the season. Will be interesting to see if Spurs rest starters next game against the Warriors in preparation for the playoffs, since their No. 2 seed is a lock. Like Wayne said, we should be getting an exciting record no matter what

Lmk if you want to see my code, which can be ported to an arduino easily. I am/was using the 3.2" version though -
A guy with enough Grados to stack to the moon is posting a deal for an HD650... is this real life?

Shaq calls him 7 foot Drake Bbq chickkeeenn http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2597566-karl-anthony-towns-mimics-shaqs-bbq-chicken Wolves definitely have a lot of potential, with two back-to-back rookies of the year and Zach "Dunk god" Lavine as their core. The Wolves Warriors game was kind of the nail in the coffin for that 73 win record... they still have a chance to tie the Bulls record, though.

My condolences to TMoney for going to a Warriors home game they actually lost. Not sure you need all that philosophical mumbo jumbo to explain how terrible an idea it is to tank for many years, draft a bunch of centers instead of positions they needed, and trade away pieces for more picks.

Today I got my dad to breadboard his first circuit, using a GPIO pin off a Raspberry Pi 3 to blink an LED with a python script. Does that count? Next up for him is a T2.

How does the saying go again? A good circuit is one from which you can walk away? The fact that you're still posting means it was a success! -

I've bought a lot of vintage headphones on ebay and sadly the vast majority of the time the cable is intermittent, for dynamic/ortho types. Electrostatic headphones seem to have longer lasting cables. The old esp6-10 drivers seem very bulletproof. I wonder exactly how they differ... my guess is they are way more similar than not.

I also don't get why the RN60C is labeled 1/8W on mouser... the only difference between C and D should be less temp drift. All the CMF60 should be fine to 1/2 watt and CMF55 to 1/4. The datasheet does say the CMF55 is rated for 1/2W at <70C. Not sure which bright red resistors you are talking about, got a pic? The 12 ohm 3W resistors I am using in the current limiters for a different power supply are CPF312R000FKB14 but they are orange.

He said it wasn't his intent to destroy content, and would prefer it restored. Most likely impossible if they were permanently deleted unless there were backups taken at some point.

That game was epic. Kobe might have been low key recruiting Buddy for the upcoming draft, though Ingram or Simmons make more sense. Lakers are going to be baking hard in a few years, just in time for after the Warriors 3peat.

Was the WES we listened to at Chicago canjam malfunctioning in any way? That thing connected to the 007 mk2 was one of the worst sounding setups I've ever heard, and I'm pretty sure I was buzzed while listening.

Relatively low open loop gain brings it down some, doesn't it? Edit: I'd be down for a fully SMT Dynalo...

Thanks for that info! Those pads look nice, and for a nice price. Your description of sound is exactly how I would describe mine, so I guess driven single-ended the sound is similar to what I am hearing now. I don't have a problem cranking mine, but then again I have it hooked up to pro bias. Nails and big red LEDs FTW. I'm tempted to make the LEDs work again, and get the same red pads (well played, Tinkerer)... maybe paint the cups matte black. Also tempted to get some LED light-up sneakers for that extra swag factor.

The first Valhalla cable I bought gave most for my money in my system. The 2nd Valhalla gave me more. The more Valhalla I added the bigger the improvements got because less weaknesses were left. The last Valhalla power cord I added gave the biggest improvement because it removed the biggest weakness that was left.

i have read your post several times and am having trouble making sense of it. Either your anecdotes have nothing to do with your claims, or directly contradict them (either way, non sequiturs). Of course when listening to a crappy headphone, then listening to a good headphone, the better one will sound better. And when listening to a good headphone and then a crappy one, the better one will sound better. This only proves that good headphones sound good and bad headphone sound bad. What does that have to do with "altered by brain training"? How does this relate to a "cleaning of the ear pallet" and "synergy" when one of your claims is that you train your brain to adjust to what you listen to most? Doesn't that automatically disqualify your opinion on your former arguments about the SR-009? If the latter claim is true, how come when you listen to a bad headphone first and your brain adjusts, the good headphone you listen to afterward doesn't sound bad? How is this different from anyone else, noninclusive of shills?
