Noo! The amp-as-monitor-stand was awesome. Get a drill and run the wires inside the desk.

Fuck you. It's moist and chewy, like cake, and amoebas can blog with it. -

Yeah, I just meant you have to reboot into the other OS, which is a pain if you do it a lot. But if you use Windows that infrequently then Boot Camp will be fine. -

Boot camp works fine as long as you don't mind having to boot into either OS exclusively. If you primarily work in OS X and just want to run the occasional Windows app, then go for Parallels or Fusion. Both work very well. Fusion offers a 30-day free trial, which is nice. -
The Cirrus chip is apparently in the new Nano as well. It was first used in the 6G iPod Classic, where it was not always well received. The first-gen iPod Touch had the Wolfson WM8758BG.

Cambridge Audio 840c Impressions and Comparisons
Hopstretch replied to tkam's topic in Home Source Components
Salt Peanuts just picked up a Duet and has an 840c, so hopefully we'll hear something there. -
He did seem to like the Senns best, so he can't be all bad.

Encouraged, even.

Took my kids out for dinner at a restaurant that I actually wanted to eat at. Perhaps awed by the presence of actual upholstery on the banquettes, they were quiet and polite and didn't annoy anyone not directly related to them by blood.

Went for a run in the rain. Squelchy but fun.

Still not working for me anymore. Weird.

Pure class. Thank you for making my mundane day a little more surreal.

I got a prompt this morning to update to the latest version, which promised to be less of a resource hog. After doing so, the app is horribly squirrelly. Getting constant connection requests and it keeps trying to rebuild the song lists -- pegging my processors in the, um, process. Anyone else having trouble?

Is there a better place to pick up used cds than Amazon Marketplace? I'm currently paying dearly for a few years of flirting with compressed files.

Speaking of getting wood...

Just got the 2.1 FW on my iPhone and it's running like buttah. No more app launch lag, no more keyboard lag, back up is zoomy. If it really does also bring better cell network performance and a big boost in battery life, as promised, then this is a hell of an upgrade to an already nice package. Kind of like discovering your hot girlfriend has always secretly wanted to try anal. Or something.

Getting funnier, granted, but still no point in sight. Bill and Jerry are better than you? We knew that. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gBWPf1BWtkw

Cambridge Audio DacMagic -- $400, balanced.
Hopstretch replied to Hopstretch's topic in Home Source Components
I'm sure you could have secured it by offering money alone. A for effort, though. -
As an occasional drunk dialer, I dunno about this on the iPhone.
