Top Gear
I disagree. As James correctly pointed out Top Gear existed before this cast and I strongly suspect that something, while obviously not being called Top Gear, is likely to exist with the 3 current hosts somewhere else. I imagine Mr. Clarkson's agent's phone is ringing off the hook. I also laugh at the statements that are being made that Top Gear will continue on without Clarkson. I can't imagine a scenario in which that is going to happen given that the remaining two presenters will no longer be under contract in the very near future (according to other reports). That said, he's a cock what transpired and I don't really question the consequences, regrettable as they are for my television watching enjoyment.

Point and shoot camera recommendations?
I'd stick with that logic if I were you. No fewer than twice, and probably more if I care to jog my memory, I've bought point and shoot cameras to bridge the gap between my DSLR and phone. Bottom line, they all simply gathered dust. Basically nothing is a pocketable as a phone and once I'm beyond it actually fitting comfortably in my pocket I'd rather just carry the D7000 and be able to use it like a real camera. And my logic also gets highly tripped up on the idea of spending as much on a P&S as I would upgrading the D7000. Anyway, obviously opinions differ but cell phone cameras have gotten so good at this point that they really do cover a lot of ground for the casual photog. I've printed 24x36 poster quality prints from my GS5 and iPhones alike. In my book, that's good enough.

Point and shoot camera recommendations?
FYI - Abe's has long been a shady place to buy anything and often has prices that are simply too good to be true. I've ready horror story after horror story about them and camera gear so if it was my $$ I'd shop just about anywhere else.

Genital Pictures....oh, and pens
I tired both of my purchases today. The Tornado is fantastic, the jetstream, ehhh, maybe I got a bad batch but it doesn't write nearly as well as expected even coupled with the expectation that it's a cheap pen ($3/ea). It's also crazy to see the variance in line width between two .7mm pens. The Tornado is pretty much as expected, the jetstream is much, much thinner, doesn't float and feels scratchy. Some of that is down to the crap paper that I'm writing on but that's not going to change any time soon.

Fuck in snow
I got a wind-chill warning at work this morning. It is spring, right?!??!?! The predicted high this week is 50ish but with rain that day and then the temps drop back into the 30s.

^^^ Epic! Me, assisted the heatmizer in letting some bubbles out of my heating system. Heat has been restored to all levels of the house. Happy happy, joy joy.

Ouch Marhsall. I think that autocad offers trial versions of their software, or at least used to.

Ugh, that doesn't sound good. The tank should be cheap but I have no idea how much the other components will cost.

Watches
Honestly my first thought was that it was refreshing to find multiple watches not costing 4 digits even if I didn't particularly like many of the recommended pieces.

And now what did you do TODAY?
If it's just an air bubble that has that zone locked up I'll be ok. If it's something worse it'll be, uh, worse.

Death By Carbs - Bread and Dough Making
I'd happily eat either, yum. And for whatever reason that first loaf made me think of the Nightmare Before Christmas - in a good way.

And now what did you do TODAY?
I may have spoken too soon. We have no heat on the second floor of the house. So while it's toasty on the first floor, the second floor lost 10 degrees overnight and it's not supposed to get above freezing today. Yay. I'm trying to be kind and wait till 8am to call Mr. Heat again.

And now what did you do TODAY?
Yeah, I definitely got lucky. The expansion tank had failed which is definitely something that can flood a basement in a short period of time.
