  1. Yes, but that doesn't seem like much of a deal compared to brand new here - http://www.amazon.com/Garmin-Edge-GPS-Enabled-Cycling-Computer/dp/B0041O5X8A/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1400953093&sr=8-1&keywords=garmin+800 Nice ride, Raf. I'd love to get out for 40 or so this weekend if weather permits it.
  2. I figure I'm pretty much doomed to look like a goofy bastard in a helmet so why worry.
  3. Yeah, ~$260 for the 800 bundle would have been fantastic.
  4. Not based on what I see... If it applied to the 800 bundle I'd buy it in a second.
  5. Jeff, Nice that you've already put the commuter to work. And let me know if you do decide to upgrade the 800, I kind of have the itch to upgrade the 500 and started looking the other day... Me, weather is currently looking pretty awful until Monday but I'm hoping to get out for a decent ride at some point this weekend. So far this year I've barely managed anything other than commuting miles.
  6. Happy Birthday, Brent!
  7. Awesome, Doug. I look forward to Tyll's review.
  8. Happy Birthday, Raffy!
  9. Agreed, hell yeah! Larry, having lived through hail storms and the resulting damange I can empathize. Prep for trouble and painful insurance negotitations for both the car and the house. Make sure that the adjuster is specifically well-versed in hail damage. When a big storm hit our area many companies called in specialized adjusters who deal with disaster response. We had about $15k worth of damage to the house and our car was totaled. It was a huge pain in the ass and took months to get everything fixed because everyone else was in the same boat. We ended up with undocumented water damage becaues of a roof leak that went undetected. I still haven't bothered to get it fixed and it's an annoyance.... This. None of that sounds fun.
  10. Happy Birthday!
  11. Nice, Jeff! Me - got a nice commute in today. It's still struggling to be above 50 on the way in but the afternoon rides in the upper 60s are very nice.
  12. Happy Birthday Chris!!
  13. Better late than never, happy birthday!
  14. I was going to say something about turning these things into little toasters but Kevin beat me to it. You could always add a fan...
  15. Well, I actually prefer the LCD-2 to the HD800 in most cases for day to day listening. That said, G600, go build something and listen to it. You've gotten plenty of good advice is this thread and all that's left is for you to figure out what you want to do with your time and $$.
  16. Ugh, the goddamn locking Neutrick jack strikes again! Otherwise, holy heck that seems cheap even when you factor in the $99 shipping.
  17. It's about damn time it showed up. Of course tomorrow the highs are predicted to be back in the low 50s but it's supposed to rebound again before the end of the week. If the winds don't kick up too much this afternoon the ride home should be glorious.
  18. Jebus, Brent, get better.
  19. It's Bike To Work week or somesuch so I figured I'd get up at the crack of dawn (literally) and do a longer than normal commute. Spring is finally here and I was ~10mi in at 6:15 and took a minute to stop and enjoy the sunrise over the Atlantic.
  20. Nicely done, Raffy!
  21. This. I like my digits.
  22. Happy Birthday, Matt!
  23. Happy Birthday, Ari!
  24. Indeed, well done CJ.
