  2. Yup, it's most likely fake. I've been investigating a bit more with the help of a jazz connoisseur friend (he hosts a radio show). We've found a playlist on Spotify including lots of tunes played on that TV show. doing a search over it I've found the tune that was sounding when that vinyl was supposed to be playing. It's a 2006 tune by a band named Five in Orbit, from their self titled album. If you feel curious, it's available on Spotify The only other chance that comes to mind is that the album and cover are legit, but for being copyright protected music, they played a tune by other unknown band having a lower royalties cost.
  3. I'd say so http://www.liebherr.us/HGH/en-GB/96683.wfw
  4. This is the back of the album I'm not buying a vintage collectible album would have a barcode, but it could be a sticker...
  5. Thanks Mike. I searched by album title (on allmusic and discogs) and description using "white dots", "white circles", etc. The album, if true, would be more a 60's or 50's release. On a later episode they pretend to play it (on a Dual turntable I'd say) and the music felt a bit more like middle sized swing orchestra than a small bop combo. I think I should be able to take a caption of the back side of the cover, if that helps. I'm starting to think that it's just atrezzo.
  6. Barça is still a great team, and they've got a good amount of cash from that sale. I expect they make strong signings in the winter season. Winning La Liga isn't going to be easy. The Real question is, will the Real win its third Champions in a row?
  7. Then my advice is that you look at Liebherr. Ours, a two door fridge and cooler has been working without a glitch for 18 years. It could use a new rubber seal on the top door, but it's doing fine. On that one, besides the good capacity, I like the multi-temperature feature. Think of champagne, white, rosé, red, beer...
  8. I didn't know that about the French Well, I'm not typical Spanish, that's true.
  9. Dammit Matt.
  10. Since my description didn't seem to be of much help, I managed to get a caption showing most of the album cover It's just that I'm very curious about what's collectible and very seek after jazz for the show script writers. It could be a good album, who knows.
  11. I'd get this beast had I the room for it.
  12. Real Madrid is leading already La Liga. Just saying
  13. I'm not sure I'm getting the drift, but funnily enough my mother frequently called me Antoine. When I was a kid and my parents didn't want me to understand what they were talking about, they spoke in French, both were very fluent. Probably that helped to open some neural paths in different ways than Jerry ;D. It's a pity all American movies were dubbed to Spanish.
  14. RIP Jerry. For some time in my childhood he was my favorite actor
  15. I was watching a TV show in a scene a guy was giving a rare, collectible vinyl album to another. The album cover was brown or very dark orange with regularly distributed, about 5x5 or 6x6, white circles. In four of the circles, in the same line, starting next to the left rim, the word JAZZ spelled one single letter into one single circle. That's all, no names, no label, no artist mentioned or music sounding. I've tried looking for that cover on Discogs, Google, etc, but nothing came out. Any cues?
  16. Happy Birthday!!!
  17. That's my teacher's point, if you get familiar with the unpredictable places where the musician is taking you to, you start to be in a position to get more involved emotionally and to really enjoy this "weird" stuff. Funnily enough I found this video at Youtube (that guy's channel is interesting for those of us learning) which is somewhat related to this matter The weirder, richer and unpredictable is the stuff you're listening to, the more trained to find out intervals and harmonies our brains will be.
  18. His name is Al (Alberto) Martín, but he has no website nor social network profile. He's not this Alberto Martín. Al's the luthier behind the aluminum Pamito Guitars design, woodwork (neck, fretboard), pick ups, ensembling and adjustments. I have one of their aluminum Telecaster models, I posted pics elsewhere. Look at the all wood models, they have some similarities in finish and sound to his own guitars, but he has plenty of smaller body designs, even shorter scale lengths, and small head. He got in touch with Allan through another musician/guitarist/producer who came to live in Spain in the 80's or late 70's, but I can't recall his name. Al is a more than decent guitarist, I mean not at virtuoso level technically IMO, but very knowledgeable at theory level. He recommended me to listen to Holdsworth works to learn how he handled harmonic concepts and how original were his melodic lines. My "problem" with such music is that it's rather atonal, not easy to follow melodically, but amazing for its different perspectives. I'm listening now to Metal Fatigue
  19. Allan Holdsworth owned one of the hand made by my teacher guitars. He seemed to like a lot small body ones with funny shapes, and great sounding. I've listened to a couple of albums on YT, is the whole collection worth it?
  20. Happy Birthday!!!
  21. Condolences to you and your family, Kerry.
  22. Larry Carlton Quartet full concert at the Festival de Jazz de Vitoria, performed on July 12th this year
  23. Cool. You should upload some video at YT
  24. What Clapton's repertoire were you playing?
  25. Who needs preferences? I like both
