  1. Nice!
  2. As another guy named Al once said rather infamously, "I am in control here." JP has stepped aside as lead organizer for this meet because he has other things going on in his life and he may not be able to attend, although I am trying to control that situation too. Anyway, we are moving forward in any case, and I wanted to post up some details. I have secured a great room at the Doubletree Hotel in Burlingame, which is the same place we had for the last Bay Area meet near the SF airport. Date/Time: Saturday February 27th from 9:30am to 6pm Location: DoubleTree Hotel, 835 Airport Blvd., Burlingame, California, United States 94010-9949 San Francisco Hotels - Hotels near San Francisco Airport - Doubletree San Francisco Airport We have a different room but it is very similar in size to the larger meet room from August. It also opens onto a courtyard that we can use as a talking area so as to minimize the chatter while people are trying to listen to gear. Here is the floor plan and we have the Sequoia and Redwood rooms: Please post whether you want some table space and what gear you are planning to bring if you have not already done so. We will post this information and a gear list in the first and second posts of the thread for easy reference. Make sure you ping your Bay Area pals who were at the last meet or other meets or have always said they wanted to go to a meet. Depending on the number of attendees, be prepared to pony up $10-20 to cover the room expense. It isn't mandatory, but I'm not planning on footing $800 for myself. See you all next month! 5. Has everybody who is planning to attend this meet posted here or in HF? Just trying to figure out numbers, and space requirement for the meet itself.

  7. Happy Birthday old[er] chap! I saw a Union Jack flying on my way to work, so I should have known it was your big day! Have a great one. Cheers!

    Canjam 2010.

Clearly you should. Thursday night is key for fun times, and allows for Friday daytime hanging and early listening during setup. Sunday is important for recovery and allowing for the full day meet day/raffles/etc. Wednesday could be important too in the event the Scotsman carries out his evil plan to start his visit that early.

OF course, they don't sell Magico Minis. Anyway, I had Ref. 3s for years and still think they are fantastic speakers. I still have 3 Gallo Due's in case anybody is looking for a deal on such things. I am going to listen to these Stradas soon because I was thinking of recommending them to somebody. I am guessing that they are quite good if they are an improvement over the Due and the top half of the Ref. 3s. You should check them out. I haven't looked up what the Ref. 3.5 is going to be but that will be interesting.

Wow, the season finale is quite dramatic.
  19. It would be hilarious if they both left! Talk about heads rolling at NoBrainsCompany!
  20. Skip changing altogether. Let the kid go au naturale! Probably just as much clean-up work as all the diapers. We were nuts and used cloth diapers and a service instead of the plastic poop bombs that have a half-life of 10,000 years in landfills. Not really being preachy, but I detest disposable diapers.
  21. Welcome, but please don't post individual tracks in this thread. The format we use is to type out the artist and album and then post a pic of the album cover, as you can see on this page (for the most part). Cheers. Ringo Starr -- Y Not
  22. Well, we'll miss you too.
  23. Starship troopers use it to kill female singers in the future?!
  24. Oh well, just dredge up this thread in April and feel good all over again. I knew the 39 part was wrong, but I just figured the year had gotten botched.
