  1. Grant Green -- Easy I don't know what this thing is, but it starts off with a cheesy, string-filled version of Easy [like Sunday morning] and finishes with Three Times a Lady. Grant's tone is great but it is laying on top of muzak. Who made him record this shit?
  2. I don't think the HE90s sound very good from the BHSE so the normal bias Stax jack would be a good idea unless you just want two pro bias Stax jacks, of course.
  3. Three letters: DVR
  4. Stevie Ray Vaughn and Double Trouble -- In Step
  5. Thanks for taking the time to write up your impressions Todd. It does sound like a damn good value. Is the Dynahi a pretty transparent amp? I don't know how that amp sounds, and it will be interesting to hear your thoughts on the D100 through your speaker amp or any other headamp you have access to. Also, have you tried the Dynahi with the APL Denon? I'd be curious to know how it compares even though the price range is different. On another note, it has been said before but why do these manufacturers keep using the same names for DACs and amps? Stello, Neko, Channel Islands, Cambridge, Genesis, etc. all have D100s or DA100s and I am sure there are others.

No and No. Under discussion. But I thought you were going to be elsewhere at that time.

I got a link to a music player playing Wilco's brand new album.
  8. Anja Garbarek -- Smiling & Waving Pisses me off that Steve Jansen is not on Rhapsody and I never remember to look for this disc when I am at a store.

  17. That seems odd to me -- although I am not sure of your definition of hot -- because I would have put the Northstar as more in your face and the ECD-1 as more laid back when I have heard them. I have to say, though, that I think the Northstar I heard the most was modded by Maui Mods and I have not heard either of them nearly as much as you have. I just think of the ECD-1 as the slower, more rounded and euphonic and therefore cannot associate "hot" with it in my own mind.
  18. I want to hear the Wheatfield, please.
  19. No chance of becoming law. More no chance of surviving even a pathetic constitutional challenge.

Agree wholeheartedly with that one. Why is the specific weekend important? He said he would go if you were there. EDIT: Agree wholeheartedly with that one too. Especially the stunningly part.

So, is anybody else staying at the LA YMCA? I just want to clarify two things from my earlier post. First, posty did not ultimately accept any scholarship funds but felt the a little close to his cranium. Second, Dinny is holding out on attending this ever-moar-epic event and we need to work on him in whatever ways will make him most uncomfortable. . That is all.
