Thanks for all the suggestions. When the pup came home none of the names we considered fit. However, after being with him for a couple of days and after having seen the parents, "Nitro" obviously fits.

Nitro! Nice. After seeing the video I was going to suggest "Spaz" but Nitro is much nicer ... and still gets the idea across.
