January 9, 201313 yr Nice haul on the 45s, Ric. Those are going to sound amazing. Agreed. I meant to say something like this earlier but apparently failed.
January 9, 201313 yr Thanks guys. Looking forward to them. Have some Amazon GCs to burn and Acoustic Sounds Amazon storefront occasionally rotates something interesting in. It's my glacially slow Jazz subscription.
February 11, 201313 yr Thus completes my interest in the AP Blue Note 45s... And some Bob... Edited February 11, 201313 yr by blessingx
February 11, 201313 yr So Rick... Two questions. One, are you going to the Bay Area meet, and two, any chance you'll bring the turntable and a couple of these 45s? That'd be friggin' sweet!
February 11, 201313 yr I am, though don't have a table reserved (rarely visit the other site much anymore and only found out about the event recently). Plus, to be honest, had bad luck a few years back with some fragile gear so would probably shy away from bringing the really fragile stuff, like vinyl, to the partially unknown masses at a similarly large meet. And then there's the fact that vinyl kinda sucks on headphones. That said I'm in the area so we can always meet up another time.
February 11, 201313 yr Well, in case you change your mind I'm sure Greg (horio) or I would happily forgo brining a source in lieu of using your turntable. If not, then maybe next time we have a mini-meet.
February 27, 201313 yr The Very Best Of Enya (Deluxe Amazon MP3 Edition) for $2.99. Why? I'm not sure.
March 1, 201313 yr I dont have it yet but I bought a collection of Everest HDAD 24/96 24/192 discs. High rez transfers from magnetic film from Bernie Grundman. And redbook on a separate disc. $250 for 17 of them.
March 5, 201313 yr Just in time for tomorrow's snowmageddon even in the car these were promising. (I tried the Spivakovsky, bottom right) had to crank the volume knob, a great sign
March 8, 201313 yr One of these with a few new SACD's on their way soon... btw - this remaster by steve is great.
March 15, 201313 yr Causa Sui - Summer Sessions (volumes 1 and 2), Pewt'r Sessions (volume 1) Um, yeah. Because this: Basically, this is how you do blues rock, at least based around a sustained bass line. Also, this band is how you do instrumental improvisational prog rock:
March 16, 201313 yr Also, this band is how you do instrumental improvisational prog rock: (perks up ears) Mmm...spacey...
