Headphone for my brother...suggestions please!!!

Featured Replies

Hi all! I wish to gift a headphone to my brother. He is very much fond of listening to music and play a lot of games. So I’m looking for a headphone that do great in both and price less than $300. One of my friends suggested Shure SRH440 headphone. How is its functionality? Does anyone have any other opinions out there? I would be glad to hear your recommendations! I’m planning to buy it from <advertisement deleted>

if your brother is addicted to porn you should get him open headphones so you know when not to set foot in his room

this gift is way more efficient because it's like a two for one special

A used Sony MDR-SA5000 is a fine choice.  You may want to learn how to recable the stock with mogami or something to get the best sound out of this phones.  Otherwise, get Sony MDR-1A or buy a used Sennheiser HD600 for $200 and spend the rest on a decent portable amp (best option).

How has there been more than one post in this thread without a Jerry Harvey reference?  Have we slipped so far?

I started to, then changed my mind.  I don't know what's wrong with me, feel free to diagnose.

Yeah, yeah, I know, "you want a list?!?"

I'll trade you headphones for weed.
