He elaborated on various bits they'd swiped from Opera, FFX, etc. I like FFX3 enough that Chrome will have to be really good for me to switch. This hopefully won't put any more stress on web developers as many were already taking into account other WebKit browsers like Safari/MobileSafari, Adobe Air, etc. (not to mention Googles furture Android and the earlier version of KHTML in Konqueror). It being multi-threaded shouldn't be a huge surprise though, pretty much all software needs to start making that transition if it wants to keep up. Hell, people were glad when microsoft introduced something to compete with netscape back in the day.
