I know what I'm doing at 9 am tomorrow, selling my Apple stock!

Joking aside, condolences to his friends and family. I have seen a lot of pancreatic CA rotating and working in Ireland where the people ehem enjoy their drink a little and it is one of the worst prognostic wise.

Maybe a 'too soon,' but among the Twitterverse comments comes this gem from HAL9000:

Steve Jobs is taking time off to train for his fight with Jesus.

^ Nice! That's what I play with every time I stop at an Apple Store (along with an iPad) and drool over. The last time I was at an Apple Store, I let my toddler play with a display iPad - employees didn't look too amused as Libby slapped at the screen with her hands/fingers.

A few good links to stories about Jobs are linked from DaringFireball too.

Yup, my thinkpad display died so it was a good excuse to get the new macbook air.

Bought a 13 inch macbook air today. Man is this thing fast.

any recommendations on (not so expensive) bags for this thing? My current noname laptop bag just committed suicide. :(

thats what ive been using for the past 3 years. not as much of a fashion statement as perhaps what dan suggested. but for the price and the mostly all black exterior i havent felt the need to look further. 14/15" version comfortably carries my thinkpad, ipad, reasonably thick notebook, thinkpad 90w charger, ti89 (big ass) calculator and a bottle of water.
