July 20, 200916 yr E05 was really good. More of a throwback to season 5/6 with the cheap car challenge but it was funny as hell and not too over the top. Solid classic TG.
July 22, 200916 yr I LOVE to hate Morris Marinas! But by far, the season premiere was one of their weakest episodes... They should have started with episode 2 with the trance music and all...
July 22, 200916 yr The series, finally, has gotten into the swing of it. I was worried that I might not laugh at all or actually be interested, and frankly it has been forced and contrived until now. E4 was breaking back, E5 is properly back to form. I loved it.
July 24, 200916 yr E4 would have been much better if they had all gotten in the car for the postal race. 4 door Porsche, so it makes sense, and I don't think they've ever done a trip like that before.

July 25, 200916 yr Obviously not Top Gear, but this does appear to be the default gearhead thread. Wordless beauty etc.
July 29, 200916 yr Schumi to replace the injured Massa!!... HOLY CRAP!... oh & BMW is pulling out of F1 after this season...
July 30, 200916 yr E06 was good too. The show seems to be back into the swing of things. Still no real gems like E01/02 of last season or the Vietnam special but at least we have some very solid episodes.
August 1, 200916 yr as talented as he is, i'm not sure even he can get back into that kind of condition that quickly.
August 3, 200916 yr To be honest, I thought the series was mediocre. But this last episode was really good.
August 6, 200916 yr How come Captain Slow gets to have all the fun? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x6cZLfK4Zjk
August 7, 200916 yr The other reason is that he's done several science type documentaries for the BBC, so this was just a one-off special in the same vein. His Big Ideas series is worth a quick search.
August 7, 200916 yr Well for one reason, he can actually fit into the cockpit. If that were the sole criteria then the little hamster guy would have been sent although I'd have to agree with anyone who might suggest his history around jet engines isn't that reassuring.
August 9, 200916 yr Meh, James May = awesome and the more JM we see outside of Top Gear the better. He is becoming a fairly popular show host/presenter in general from what I've gathered.
October 21, 200916 yr I think I might see a hint of a back windshield. Lotus is still one of the coolest looking cars I've seen, used to have a electric RC one in college that they would race.
October 22, 200916 yr I believe the reasoning goes thusly: when you're going faster than anything else, you don't need to see behind you.
October 22, 200916 yr All this inappropriate bumping of the Top Gear thread is killing me. I keep thinking the show is back on, bastards. I do approve of the Lotus though.
