Gang, the iPad Mini was a complete success.  He was so happy.  Thanks for the guidance!

Dinny I like the Belkin case quite a bit but I am no longer using it since getting the Defender case, If you would like to try it out let me know.

Jeff, I'm thinking about going with the Defender. How do you like it? I seem to recall that you didn't like the Commuter. Is that correct?

I love the Defender but it does add a lot of weight. We should do lunch and you can check it out.

Thanks Jeff. Lunch is a good idea. But you know I'm far too impulsive to wait until then to order goodies. The Defender will arrive in East Hampton tomorrow.

It is really quite nice. I greatly prefer it to the version for my iPhone.

Sorry to beat a dead horse Shelly but the extreme solved all my link sys range and dropping issues and then some. It really is fantastic as a wireless router and am ok with its decent hard drive sharing performance.

The Defender case is no joke. Nice fit and finish, although the screen film thing is a pain in the ass to get on and I can see a piece of lint under it despite my heroic efforts. Regardless, this will be a good family travel case, which is what I was looking for. Next will be a case similar to the Apple one, but you know, better.

I didn't even use the screen protector on mine.

You will also have to work with the stand a bit to loosen it up as mine was very tight when I first got it.

Update: The extreme helped my wireless range. I can now happily type away in bed on the ipad. I am sure my partner will be thrilled. :)

Good news!

Perhaps your partner needs an iPad!? ;)

Cool. O0

That would be nice. I know the intended purpose is to fulfill the source category as shown in the presentation of the Apple TV but you never know how they will implement it. I am hoping it comes before November.

Cool. The multitasking will be nice but for me the wireless printing will be the biggest improvement.

I want a BTstack supporting mice included to make vnc operations easier.

hopefully airplay can use the ipad and ipod/iphone as a destination in addition to as a source...

If not, what about Airfoil Speakers Touch (though pretty useless on iPad until multitasking appears).

Or you could just use serve-to-me.

^Streamtome?

Anyone else used this? I love the idea, but the sound quality seems lacking somehow.

I'm not looking for solutions, just expressing that I want apple to include it in the OS :)

That would be nice and will probably occur based upon the direction they seem to be going.

iPad end = stream-to-me. Mac/PC end = serve-to-me. Seems OK to me, especially when using camera adaptor and Pico DAC/amp.
