It isn't confined to On-Semi. Rohm did the same thing with all their low noise offerings ages ago, So did Renesas with the J79/K216 - in fact lateral MOSFETs are a thing of the past. Most p-channel jF

I'd like to build my own transformers. Where can I source laminations and bobbins?

Just curious, has anyone ever used any hardware switch debouncing before? I realize this is 100% unnecessary / overkill in this situation, on all kinds of levels, but I am going to play around with a few of the Maxim chips in this rube-goldberg-esque circuit

Many (many) years ago... I'd have to dig out one of my books to even remember how.

It's easy enough to do in software, but I wanted to control the optoisolated switch directly. I think these chips are perfect for the job.

[emoji20] that circuit doesn't work. The first switch debounce output (U2) is high and then transitions to low when the momentary switch is pressed. This means U1 clear is always being asserted. What is the easy way to invert this logic? I still need half that switch to be NO for the logic that happens on the other side of H1. I suppose it's possible a half NO and half NC momentary switch might exist, but seems unlikely in the switch form factor I am using and commited to. I need to find a way to jumper U2 pin 1 and 3 and then test the other part of the circuit. Testing tiny SMD components on a dense board is hard [emoji20]

Does anyone know if pacificsemi.com is selling authentic semiconductors ? Or are they counterfeit ?

Last time I bought from them it was all authentic, even the often faked J79's.  That was a couple of years ago though so things might have changed.

Thank you Spritzer, I hope and cross my fingers they are still authentic as I have placed a few order with them.

Anyone recognize this RCA socket and have the part number? Single channel and has that mounting hole on the top left. Also, what's the best way to remove neutral cure silicone rubber off pcbs?

Looks roughly the same, those 1 position mount type of RCA connectors are heavily used in cheap $20-40 DVD/Blu ray players.

Thanks! That's the closest thing I've seen so far, but then again I hadn't even found any PCB style jacks with chassis mounting hole in my search... Sadly the bottom pins aren't in the same place and there are no locking tabs like in your link. I'm not so sure about overall dimensions, either. Definitely tough. I emailed Emotiva, hopefully they will get back to me tomorrow with a part number.

I'd see if emotiva would send you a couple of them. They are after all the ones who selected them :)

Good idea! I just called and they want to charge $12.50 for just one RCA jack. Dear lord. I guess they can charge whatever they want when no one can find whatever part they're using. Gonna try to see what can be done under warranty.

Is that shipped or do they want another $8-10 for that? I'd probably try the whining approach, you know, the fucking POS broke :)
Of course they might come back with the ship it in (and pay shipping both ways :) )

Truly horrible customer service. They clearly don't respond to emails so I will give them a strongly worded call on Monday.

Thanks.

is it just me or are the tube prices really off here? It looks like everything is quad priced but for qty 1.

  • 1 month later...

What do people use for custom power transformers these days? And do you know where I can buy tube pins to make an adapter? I'm not trying to Singlepower tube roll, I promise.
