2008 on the left is tasty but maybe past its prime. 2009 in the right tastes awful. Refund.

I'm just glad your stomach didn't offer the refund...

People here are calling it "sour" and drinking it. Not I.

The 2010 is probably my favorite. Best balance of age and richness. The 2008 is good but thin. The 2011 (pictured below) is the least subtle and much less integrated than the 10.

D&M and the internets... and no money in my pocket....

Oh, Bas Armanac (still miss 1984 Boigneres pure Folle Blanche). It is still one of my favorites.

Kenbishi. (Yep, "Strong Type".)

Found this little tidbit about why the 2009 was sour: http://www.thebeerspot.com/forum/index.php?topic=6836.0

"From what I read, the chocolate they used didn't break down properly so there is a cocoa butter build up accumulating in the beer and can possibly go rancid." - Yuck

Rancid beer is the best.

That was a great vertical tasting opportunity Al, props.

I bet it still wasn't as good as that Dogfather we had:)...

Nice Mike! Don't worry, reinforcements are coming your way.... :)

Enjoy it Mike! you're a good man, but you need a break sometimes too.

I think Raffy meant he was coming over to help you drink the Hunupu, not bring more beer.

^^wish I had known would've sent something special:)...

HaandBryggeriet Krøkkebic...Sour Ale brewed with Crowberries...no idea what a crowberry is...thisn't as good as their Haandbic (which was stellar), but still enjoyable & worth what I paid...might get again...

There is still time!

Al, I wish he was but I'm afraid more beer is on the way although some will be leaving.
