Stumbled across this. Be sure and stick around for Linda Ronstadt's bit.

 

Nice pull Steve.. I recorded this on VHS back in 1983 off cable. Randy Newman - Live at the Odeon. I would watch it over and over for gems like your post. I created a shitty digital copy from a homemade transfer to computer kit in the 2000s. 

I was very happy to find out that there was a DVD release - picked it up as soon as I could.  I don't know if I have ever posted - but I watch it every holiday season (was recorded around Christmas)

 

Not good audio on these two - but two additional Linda performances that kill me.

I'm happy to say that I've seen Linda a few times.

First at the American Music Hall and later, with Neil Young at the Omni (both in Atlanta).

No matter what the size of the venue, she instantly lights up a space with that voice.
