Hey- In the past three years I've held various branch level positions at a monster mega bank. The pay has been decent enough for a single person with no mortgage or other major debt to speak of, but I've long since grown weary of the job, and to be perfectly honest without trying to sound arrogant, I'm too smart for this job. This year marks a return to form (hopefully) and therefore I'm prepping to ride the full century in support of the Kelly Brush Foundation. The effects of the tick bite appear to have waned since around Christmas so I've been training hard, mixing in quite a bit of mountain bike riding as well as other non-bike-related exercise and actually doing a little weight training. It appears to be paying off. For those that don't know, the Kelly Brush Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting individuals with spinal cord injuries in finding ways to get out and enjoy an active lifestyle. Rally to Restore Sanity Keep Fear Alive Is anyone going to this rally next weekend? I think I'm going to be taking a trip to DC to catch this/hang out/whatever. I'm THINKING about bringing the kids too, we shall see. I know there are some DC area people around, and it starts in EXACTLY 7 days (to the minute.) I am considering getting rid of all cable/sattelite TV service (currently DirecTV) and going with the combination of Netflix, Amazon Instant Video, Hulu Plus, and online sports subscriptions. I have neighbors doing this and they've liked it, while saving a ton of money. For what I pay for DTV, and how little we watch TV, it's hardly worth it. As it is, we currently watch mostly Netflix and Amazon anyway. For sports, I'm watching mostly on iPad, because my kids are on the TV, and I've found this to be fine, sometimes preferable, since I don't have to scroll through 600+ channels to find the game I want.
