  1. Awesome, Colin and Shelly. But, Shelly, this is HC ... shouldn't you have gotten BOTH the double patty with grilled cheese buns AND the single with bacon, cheddar, tipsy onions, and aioli?

  2. Oh I think I am going to go with the uturn and that emotiva sale on the phone preamp. Should be small and simple enough for the wife to be able to play grandmas records and gives me an excuse to purchase vinyl.

  3. Hi Shelly! it doesn't really seem as though the "(single burger patty with bacon, cheddar, tipsy onions, chipotle aioli and a fried egg)" was settling. They both look fantastic!

  4. The light fixture we ordered for our dining room finally arrived. When Lauren was out doing a newborn shoot today, I got it installed. It's pretty fly... 16 mason jars.

  5. Glad you didn't wipe out on a cracked bar, Jose. Personally I would never repair a cracked bar or stem. Finished the Tour of Sufferlandria today. SO FUCKING TIRED!

  6. Hi Steve! Went to Bernie's Burger Bus. I wanted to get this (two applewood smoked bacon grill cheeses used as a bun for two signature beef patties, each topped with cheddar, "tipsy" onions, and all the fixings) but instead I got this (single burger patty with bacon, cheddar, tipsy onions, chipotle aioli and a fried egg). Next time I am going for the double patty with grill cheeses as buns!

  12. OK, I'm going to start emailing Jay-Z every time TIDAL tells me my fucking session has expired and I need to log in again, while driving. Actually, the way to use this bitch is to decide what you want to listen to for the next day/week, download it all overnight on wifi and then run in offline mode while out and about. That works great.

  13. Supertramp - Crime of the Century [2014 Deluxe Edition] It's been remastered and Ken Scott, the original engineer, has overseen the process. It sounds damn good, as good as one of those "audiophile" vinyl releases I got years ago.

  16. It was pulled pork and was serious yum! Some of the best I can recall having. Bhjazz, if you read this thread, I highly recommend campfire bbq, which has popups at various places around the city. Shelly, that burger looks like a hot mess in the very best sense.

  18. Sharing my findings with attempts to raise output BJT current as promised. I am running +/- 16V rails. Using 255R in R38 and R39, I got around 186mv voltage drop on the output resistors (20R) when the amp is fully warmed up (160mV at cold start). That's around 9mA current. I could barely feel a temprature on the output transistors at this operating condition. I finally settled on 301R in R38 and R39 which results in 250mV across the output resistors at cold start, rising to and stablize at 320mV after a few minutes. The output BJTs are quite warm to the touch but not hot. I am really liking the sound of the amp at this condition. For what it's worth, here is a few other values of R38 and R39 I tried and the resulting voltage drop across the output resistors: R38/R39 = 287R, 230mV cold start, 273mV warmed up R38/R39 = 317R, 300mV cold start, 360mV warmed up R38/R39 = 402R, 500mV cold start, did not wait for it to warm up. This amp really sounds great on both my Senn. HD650 and LCD2. Subjectively the best among the headphone amps I own and heard. Many thanks Kevin for your ingenuity and help!
