I just setup my Oppo BDP-95 to use DLNA streaming from JRiver on my PC. That was like the easiest shit in the world. My entire library now available to stream to the home theater. Don't know why I never did this.2 points

We got this chef's knife as a wedding present in 1991 and it just broke after 24 years of use I mailed it off to Wusthof for replacement. That's pretty good customer service.2 points

I bought the ha-2 from ttvj and it came with a 1 year warranty and fresh refurbishment from Pete. I will take the cover off eventually but right now I'm just going to enjoy it since for at least a year any repair will be under warranty. Thank you for the heads up though. It def. runs hot. I can see why the Teton has such a big heat sink. The amp is very quiet so any increased noise should be noticeable. Really makes my hd800 sing imo. The v200 is probably the closest at the ha-2's price range and I still prefer the ha-2 with hd800's. Add in a brimar 5u4g, gec 6as7g, and Marconi b65 and you have something really special.1 point

After building the SRX Plus I decided to try the CCS on an Egmont. Copying Kevin's layout I drew up this: Having two Egmont's I can A/B them to compare. It is a huge improvement, more volume and much less distortion. Much more of a usable amp now. Noticeably cleaner bass. like Night and Day. With 320v rails and the resistor values of the SRX CCS the tube bias is adjustable up to about 5.55 ma, currently running them around 5ma. The R& L channel offset is up to -40v so I lowered the 580v bias a bit to compensate. Also tried 3 sets of 5965 output tubes and results are similar. May try to raise the cathode resistance a little. Add a hundred ohms? I have an old BK scope and I will try to figure out what point the two amps go into distortion. A Big Thank You to All for posting your work ....1 point

I also had few not-so-cheap ink cartridges that I had bought from HP couple of weeks ago that I never got a chance to use. Much to my surprise, HP customer service refunded my full purchase price and just told me to keep the cartridges.1 point

Around home time at work today I get a call from a friend to tell me he saw a couple having sex on my car in the car park. I go down to investigate: my friend was correct. They appeared to be a homeless couple, and heavily intoxicated from sniffing tolulene. I thought I'd best be diplomatic. I told them I was leaving in the car in five minutes time, so they'd be better off finding somewhere else. The guy gave me a wink and told me he'd be finished in two minutes.1 point

Left the house today intending to pick up a Collings Acoustic Guitar. Went to a few shops and tried several Collings and some Huss and Daltons and really could not find one that I liked as much as my D18. They all seemed to be less dynamic than the Martin. Tried a few brands I did not know that well including Froggy Bottom which was awesome but really a finger picking guitar that could not be played all that hard. Came across this Canadian brand that is all AAAA Andirondack tops across their lines and looked good so I tried them out. Really thought the Dreadnaught was the best I heard all day long so it came home with me. Similar to my D-18 with less bass, a bit more balanced.1 point
