  2. Welcome ‌@4tray! welcome to headcase new friend. showers of joy for you sir or ma'am, showers of joy. we are ready to discuss headpone! early in your meditation journey you will no doubt think the moments of oneness and connectedness and joy you feel are the point of the meditation process. however, these are just another thing you can become attached to. William James put it best in his work "The Varieties of Religious Experience", paraphrasing here, but basically the only way you can determine the authenticity of a spiritual experience are by the fruits of said experience. So if you are still a miserable asshole after said "spiritual experience" then really its not much of a spiritual experience is it? Regardless, the point isn't to have these experiences, since so many of them are impermanent (which is really what the Buddha meant when he said "all life is suffering". suffering is probably a poor translation, I think the real idea is that nothing in life is permanent, so you can't all your serenity to be contingent on anything in life, including these moments we call spiritual experience), the question instead you need to ask your is what is the journey? also scroll up a bit for my flat bacon trick!

  7. For a vacation, I'd recommend either a ski resort area, ft collins, or estes park over boulder. Boulder's just traffic and hippies.

  10. maybe I should invest in the brown 007 pads to keep the colors coordinated. I think they're stretchier (aka flimsier) than their black counterparts. If it's possible I'd like to get the 009/507 headband working with these too, might be a little more complicated than swapping pads.

  14. Raffy, I bought it through my LBS and they gave me a good price that was about 7% over what I would pay online but included install, setup and service. I also got full warranty etc. Also I couldn't find the exact combination I wanted online. Background: I've bought so much stuff through them and I have a good relationship with them so on most things it's a less than 10% upcharge over online. In particular cases I've even paid less than online through them because the manager will use his personal industry discount to buy me things. I know they need to make money and I like saving money so it works out overall and I gain access to mechanics and service whenever I need it at very good rates. I'm very lucky because I know Jeff on the other hand went to a different place around here and had a very different experience in that they never gave him any real discounts.

  15. Win 10 touchpad issue sorted. Decided to peek into BIOS settings, and found that Touchpad had two optione - Basic or Advanced functions. It was set to Advanced, which likely requires drivers that haven't been done for Win 10 yet. Set to Basic, and on booting up, Touchpad was found, and all good.
