  1. Part of being a friend and insider in any club is taking and giving shit to each other. Mexican Dragon and cetoole are two of the most loved people here. They get more shit thrown their way than anyone. Absorbine_Sr and Aura make Asian jokes at me, and it's funny because there's an inside joke that only we get. I'd be pissed at anyone else, but from them it's funny. Grawk has defended you in other areas here, and teased you for funny aspects of your personality. It's funny, because he's your friend, and you take shit from your friends, and laugh with them, even if it's at your own expense. If you can't laugh at yourself with friends, then when can you laugh? And laughing with friends is good for you. It's what life is all about. Take it easy, don't take yourself so seriously. It was more of a love slap in the face. Take it that way. Life will be easier, trust me.

  4. McLorin Salvant is an amazing talent! Saw her last year and she left everyone's jaws on the floor. It seemed like there was nothing beyond her skills and the range of her voice.

  5. I don't disagree, I was merely pointing out that English allows for nuanced levels of disapproval. However, if I were to criticize you ... Don't neglect your sleep But feel free to vent May your bacon always be flat.

  6. Pretty damn good for a first attempt at a proper Texas Brisket Fairy brisket. Alden wanted to move into the cooler from the aroma. Brisket gloves required Thanks for the guidance Naaman!

  7. ^^^ Shit, piss, and corruption ... I knew I came south too soon. Next year we set a date, and stick to it, Nate. Our families (your kids, my grandkids their parents of your gen) will thank us for it. Cheers to Nate, Maura, Lily and Andrew.

  8. First mini Carbon up and running. I also built an identical full size one so I can see of the proximity of the PSU/AMP sections has any effect. Two more coming including one with an R-core.

  9. Not at all. I carry it there in jeans, shorts, you name it. It's never given me an issue. Of course, I'm not lacking for padding back there.

  10. I just had some delicious brisket at Dixie Bones -- muuuuuch better (than Famous Dave's). The meat was practically flaking away like salmon. Perfection.

  12. Just read the sequel, where she went by Gayle Foreman. That's a great thing about YA fiction. It's not a long read.

  15. Welcome ‌@4tray! welcome to headcase new friend. showers of joy for you sir or ma'am, showers of joy. we are ready to discuss headpone! early in your meditation journey you will no doubt think the moments of oneness and connectedness and joy you feel are the point of the meditation process. however, these are just another thing you can become attached to. William James put it best in his work "The Varieties of Religious Experience", paraphrasing here, but basically the only way you can determine the authenticity of a spiritual experience are by the fruits of said experience. So if you are still a miserable asshole after said "spiritual experience" then really its not much of a spiritual experience is it? Regardless, the point isn't to have these experiences, since so many of them are impermanent (which is really what the Buddha meant when he said "all life is suffering". suffering is probably a poor translation, I think the real idea is that nothing in life is permanent, so you can't all your serenity to be contingent on anything in life, including these moments we call spiritual experience), the question instead you need to ask your is what is the journey? also scroll up a bit for my flat bacon trick!
