We might consider to let him live. I'll bring it up with the council... As for CanJam, I might host it just to have the HF cunts detained and then deported...4 points

I want to set a few things straight from the latest stupidity over on the Head-Fi Stax Thread. I am not reputable builder, that implies I’ve built and sold and have gained a following of sorts, which I really don’t give a toss for. I build for fun and happiness, I sell them as the needs be to support my hobby with future designs and builds in mind. As for cost of DIY, the posters over there are clueless and have no idea whatsoever. One size does not fit all, there are numerous details and factors that influence the cost from builder to builder, from my perspective with a weak Australia dollar, shipping and parts cost have gone through the roof. I ship transformers from Canada, Chassis parts from Italy and milled panels from the US and that’s just for starters. By the time I take out eBay fees I count myself lucky if I make parts cost, more times than not I’m at a loss. If I ever decide a commercial enterprise geared for profiteering (highly doubt this) I’ll be sure to contact Kevin and Birgir for their permission. The rest of the dim witted retards who haven’t got any idea should keep their traps well and truly shut. Edit; Thanks Soren, Purk, Paradoxper and JimL 11 for some sanity.4 points

astrotard got a BHSE? I remember for months he'd post about how his KGSSHV is possibly as good as the BHSE (typical 'great in different ways' cop out) and that the BHSE may not be worth the increase in cost. Now that he's getting a BHSE, suddenly he wants to tell people their HV won't come close to the BHSE? How predictable and insecure. That thread is a steaming pile of crap and has been since the mods decided to protect the likes of astrotard, eric65, and Musical Alchemist from being shut up. I don't even know why purk and mulveling bother trying to help people there still. When the cargo is worthless, you may as well let the ship sink.3 points

Didn't get a chance to post pix from last night, but the rift worked perfectly (after about 20 minutes of frustration and driver updates) with Project Cars. That was the most fun I've had playing a video game in ages. The sense of speed was tame relative to real life, but it was definitely immersive and Laguna Seca and Bathurst were incredible going through the tight, twisty drops. My stomach fell out on them. It was a lot of fun with a GTX 970. With a 980ti or 1080, the realism would come back and it would be stupidly good. For racing games, I'd want one. Oh, spent two hours wearing it with no discomfort. Thanks for the game, Chris, Gram, T$, and Stupid Colin. Pix later if someone reminds me. **BRENT**2 points

Looks like I need to venture over to HF to read the newest level of stupidity... What I truly dislike there are the few times people show up with actual questions that matter but there is nobody there with any actual knowledge to help them. The discussion is just meaningless twaddle without any knowledge at all. The "people in the know" read something somewhere but it's all bullshit and lies. I was sent the recent discussion about the 009 imbalance issue and the astounding amount of stupidity there just made me shake my head. We've reached the point where we have a pretty good idea what's going on but the HF braintrust...yeah fucking clueless as is to be expected.2 points

so what will happen when astroboy decides he has to have a BH with the emission labs tubes, or even much more expensive a T2 with emission lab tubes. There is no reason to defend my amplifiers. For people with a brain, they defend themselves quite well.1 point

I forgot to mention, a couple months ago I recommended Birgir's bakery to a work vendor acquaintance who was visiting. She didn't get to meet the Viking Legend, but did make it to the bakery and gave it very high marks And she made it back without any volcanic ash.1 point

Arnaud has written a post [ 8955 ] on HF in their Stax Thread where he wrote Mr manure. Now while I still look on HF, I only do so if I'm wanting a laugh, because a lot what's written there now is a JOKE, but if I'm seeking useful info then I look on HC. Also, I wrote a post on HF several months ago in which I asked a genuine question, and that post was removed, since then I've only done one post on that site, and probably won't do anymore, or at least very few.1 point

It has a motor and is lots of fun. I broke it about 10 years ago and fixed it on Saturday $30 for new batteries and it's ripping around almost like new. Ordered some new tires and extra wheels too. A lot cheaper at 10th scale1 point

I've listened to a bit on Audible lately. Here are some in no particular order: Isaac Asimov - Foundation / For such a famous, well-regarded book, I was more bored by this than by the work i do, which is mind-numbingly painful. The ending was OK; I was reminded of how many books are great, and I'm sad to see them end, and the ending is good enough, but you're sad that it's over. This wound up being about as good as many for an ending, but it was starting to crescendo in the last tenth of the book. It was enough to make me want to read to wikis to figure out what happened next, but i still haven't even done that yet, so... Micahael Lewish - Moneyball / Brilliant book; I want to read some more of his stuff. Andy Weir - The Martian / It was great, and hilarious. I'm glad I read it before watching the movie. John Scalzi - Lock In / Enjoyed it Daniel Suarez - Daemon / Like the one above, another 3-4$ daily deal on Audible that looked interesting, and was. I love finding these cheap reads that introduce me to new authors. **BRENT**1 point
