  1. I’ve had a great time the last couple of weeks building the mini Dynalo designed by Kerry. Here is the Dynalo with a finished (almost) board. Side panels from Modushop, internal height 40 mm. Front and rear panel are copper clad boards milled myself and the top cover is an aluminum net for better ventilation. Now, this amplifier turned to be a very nice one, so I started to modify it for my own personal preferences. I want a small portable amplifier to be used in my garden under a cheery tree - resulting in this. Switching power supplies, all connectors at the rear panel and some other stuff not needed removed to give room for Raspberry Pi 3 with a HiFiBerry DAC+ Pro on top. Changed front panel (easily done with a mill and copper clad board) and rear panel has two holes for connectors for the batteries and a wlan antenna. Today I got a heat sink for the output transistors. Below is a picture showing them, they are just resting on some soft pad – have to figure out the best way to get them fastened. I don’t think the sinks are needed but they are very much preferable. Many thanks to Kerry for an excellent work.
  2. RIP Gene. A simple memory, but when I was 8 or 9 my sister and I put on Willy Wonka while helping my dad unload Christmas decorations from the shed. It was pretty early to do so, before Thanksgiving even, but still cold and dreary outside. So every time I brought a load into the house, I sat down for 5 minutes to check in on the movie... and I remember feeling so utterly comfortable, warm, and safe. And I think about that every time I've seen that movie since. So thanks to Gene for playing a part in that. Also Blazing Saddles is the funniest film I have ever seen. Another favorite in my family.
  3. Though I don't believe in heaven, it's nice to think you might be with Gilda again. RIP Gene.
  4. Touch screen to the right. Who needs Pokémon?
  5. the hands at the end... http://i.imgur.com/etwZRfv.gifv
  6. One of my all time favorite funny films! Every time I watch it, I get a new fav scene (and I just noticed the smiley face button in the poster). Cloris Leachman confessing ",.. he was my boyfriend!" or the fact that Gene Hackman didn't want to be billed as the blindman. First time I saw it was on a date. I don't even remember who the gal was!
  7. Nice!! Bring it to the next Bay Area mini-meet.
  8. This is fantastic! Time for a mini-Dynalo board group buy?
  9. Then get the BHSE or KGSSHV Carbon and forget about the Utopia. Speaking of the dynamic amp, I would recommend the ECP amp as a replacement to your SDS-XLR.
  10. You know the drill Wayne. Dew eet.
  11. Brent, I think you still have co-manager powers so get this draft and team shit figured out. Need to figure out if we can do the keeper league or not and get a draft time set up and you seem to have a lot of free time with all the pokingman and yo-yoing
  12. That is indeed Sand Creek until crosses over the county line and then it becomes Pine Creek. I think a new accessory may be in order. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00IRY4UB6
  13. Took Debbie to see the female comedy duo of Garfunkel & Oates. So funny. The final song was about god's loophole for young Christian girls - anal. Gotta love a song with a chorus of "fuck me in the ass cuz I love Jesus." Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. From the 'Alamo Township Park Trail Network" Debating if there are trout in the creek or not.
  15. remembered a bitcoin brainwallet i've been trying to retrieve for weeks. its kind of like finding $800 in your jeans pocket.
  16. So I've downloaded Roon and got a trial subscription to Tidal. So far, I'm impressed. The interface on my PC and iPhone are great. I don't feel constrained using the iPhone. I really am playing music I haven't listened to in for ever The synchronization across devices is excellent. I can see the zone support really working out nice for me as well. For now I have the server installed on my desktop, but this will change in the future. This is pretty much what I've been looking for so thanks for highlighting this here The sound quality seems great, but I haven't done any comparisons to JRiver yet. I've got a bit of a cold still so I'll wait on that. going into geek mode now... It's got some nice integration features as well. I'm going to have to build a Raspberry PI 3 bridge to AMB's γ24. I think I can take the I2S stream straight from the PI into the DAC through some galvanic isolators or put it through an ASRC first (not sure if this would help yet). I want to look at integrating the volume into the DAC as well.
  17. David Cross: Making America Great Again! I had no idea his stand up was so good!
  18. I can fix it for you.
  19. I want you to name your first new product "Meet" Helloear Meet IEM.....
  20. Yes, I'm interested. I have a JH Audio13 Preqphase that can be used as reference. What are the conditions of this review?
  21. Cool. Welcome. Anyone that writes a review based on that should include that fact in their review, but otherwise, no issues.
  22. You should try a canal lube, that will help the affected orifices stretch to accommodate the unanticipated girth. Or you can invest in a Tice Orifice Stretcher[tm], which should make other smaller devices fit more easily afterward.
  23. I can't handle it when they're too big, the ol' in 'n' out can really irritate my orifices.
  24. Got it worked out; he races 8am Saturday morning. **BRENT**
  25. I can now, in an extremely limited fashion, contribute to this thread. For the last few weeks the pens that work supplies have been driving me nuts. They're fat, write like shit and are just plain frustrating. But I wasn't about to use a fountain pen. So I did a bit of research and yesterday a Retro 1951 Tornado in stainless steel finish arrived. It both looks and writes excellently.
