  1. Finished the porch and it simply looks like it did before, just better built, clean, well painted, waterproof, solid and safe.

Cobra Kai, series 1st season just released on YouTube. First 2 episodes free, 8 remains episodes available on YouTube Red for a monthly fee. First month free, cancel anytime. The story is a continuation of the original Karate Kid movie, now 34 years later. Picks up where Daniel and Johnny (same actors) are in their respective lives, and where they and their families get tangled up again. Less emphasis on Japanese mysticism, more on kicking ass. Extremely well written, acting and production. Awesome plot and character twists, parallels and echos of the original. Best part is it’s non-PC humor and look at today’s culture with a 1980s perspective. Lots of music from that era too. The series is strong in all 10 episodes without a letdown. Started watching the first 2 freebies, and got so caught up ended up binge watching all 10 in one day.Season 2 has been given the go ahead. Recommended. Check it out.
  4. No woody option? That's dumb.
  5. That mouthhole stopper looks removable. I am not sure what that says about me that that's the first thing I noticed. And I don't know how to feel about either of the above two statements.
  6. Play with led's on my pream.
  7. Can't find the right bolts and screws as usual :/ next up are the heatsinks Oh yeah and I forgot, happy belated birthday to Kevin!
  8. Done! These are not just your standard two ways. Instead, Marc has paired basically a full range driver and a super tweeter, then customized a crossover to take best advantage of that pairing. These drivers have to stretch their legs before I can really assess them, but so far I'm impressed. They're bigger than I had originally thought I'd build them, but still, make a pretty good nearfield monitor. Bass is far better than I expected. Eventually, they will darken to match the Parasound case. The window will speed that process up.
  9. ^^^ What he said.... Someone on one of the Hockey Boards posted a rant, and part of his joy of seeing Nashville out was (some paraphrasing) the "day after fucking day of all these fucking country stars coming out to sing for HOCKEY.....seriously, this ain't fucking NASCAR....."
  10. More like voodoo dolls...
  11. Should call it “The Gimp”.
  12. That turned out fantastic! And I love that the rail bottoms were raised, so as not to catch debris and water anymore. Should last a good long time. I hope you pay Milo well, as he's a pretty good hand.
  13. The amp camp was meant to be an easy to build and safe introduction into the hobby. I have six Amp Camp stereo amps so as an intro it worked quite well All are used for phones, they will drive Fostex T50's loud enough to quickly damage your hearing. None of my off the shelf 89db/W speakers work well with this amount of power. not that it sounds bad just not enough drive to wake them up. the F5 does do the job. you might like them, you might listen differently think small room, efficient speakers, modest volume DiyAudio sells quality kits and have excellent documentation +1 what Craig & JimL said

It sings! Thanks for all your advices. For some reasons, the silkscreen on my PCB asks for 250 ohm for tail resistors. I replace it with 120 ohm and now everything can be adjusted correctly. Now I need to work on the top cover. The amp sounds awesome.
  15. The new A/V rack... The Gray stain on the butcher block is subtle, but Grayer in person.
  16. It stopped raining long enough to take a couple of pics of the beams we replaced. I'm especially psyched about the LVL that replaced a completely rotten beam perpendicular to the house. And now we've turned into an electronics shop with Dr. Luvdunhill building the crossovers for Otis's speakers.
