  1. This is the least Head Case thing I have ever read.

  2. Some day I need to go back and listen to the albums he did with Genesis. Prog can be pretty impenetrable to those of us who didn't experience it at the time.

  4. For those of you with DAW's capable of multi-tracks, I have a few files you guys might find interesting/fun to mess with. I put them up on my Google Drive and for some members of an archivists list (LOC) to download. They'll be publicly available for a week so if you're interested, get em while they're hot. Multi-tracks for David Bryne/Eno - Help Me Somebody and A Secret LifeStems from 4 tracks from Sgt Peppers (Beatles) Stems of Janis Joplin Multi-track of Bohemian Rhapsody (Queen) Stems for Superstition (Stevie Wonder) Multis for Tangerine Dream Dante’s Rebirth https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1NmIXVP4IW5r-_knzRUf2gtry4Oosnaz2?usp=sharing

  5. So build a giant enclosure and put one of those ovens that Mike suggested inside. Desired aesthetic plus 60sec pizza FTW.

  6. I'm not sure about the choice of finish color, but I do appreciate the extra woofer.

  8. Having lived in Southern California and experienced five major fires, fires where I can actually see the flames on the hillside I can tell you from first hand experience that brush clearing and fire breaks do help in minimizing the fire damage. I can only speak from first hand experience where I have seen the fires burn brush all the way up to the cleared areas and then stop. These observations and opinions are shared by some friends who are LA City and County fire fighters and fire Captains whose job it is to fight these fires. My opinions are based on first hand experience not information gleaned from the internet. There is no need to be rude to Jose or Rob.

  9. Next up should of course be.. And I understand about the prog barrier - but you are pretty close with Plays live - I might recommend going forward starting with Trespass. Not as proggy as Foxtrot with the epic Supper's Ready.

  10. Looking for some information about the drummer (David McGraw) I found that t David McGraw and Jabrille “Jimmy James” Williams at the guitar (in other words, the other two members of Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio) have other project: The True Lovers

  13. We looked at those. The neighborhood party had 5 of those set up for pizza and it was awesome. I really want a huge pizza oven, mostly for the aesthetics, but wanted to try it out cheap on the BGE first before dumping 15-20k into a pizza oven.

  14. The millennials/zoomers are now in a position where a college degree is more like a high school degree was 40 years ago. Employers want a degree for even entry level stuff that is brain dead work. And they pay crap. If you don't get specialized, good luck. And with Asian and India degree mills working overtime, guys with master's degrees show up at job interviews all the time. About 10 minutes into the interview you wonder how the guy tied his own shoes.Yes, I'm in my 60's. Thank god my kids have it together.

  15. Well our kids were born in 1986 and 1989, so definitely not boomers (I'm a boomer). Rob and Helen own their own house. And Liz and Oscar (the Australians) have saved a monster deposit by hard graft and will be buying in the next 6 months. Rob works as a project manager in major audio visual installations. His latest was the Samsung King's Cross https://www.samsung.com/uk/explore/kings-cross/ AV systems, the most complex bit being this, 4 metre wide curved screen LED display with 0.8mm pixel pitch. The LED modules weigh a ton in total, and each networked module has got 6-axis microadjustment to ensure minimal error in module position. Helen works in advanced image analysis for defence. Liz now works mainly in costume and theatre installation design with some acting Oscar runs a 15-man arborist company clearing power lines from tree problems (gum trees grow real fast) So any idea that non-boomers have got a bum deal is certainly not the case with our offspring.

  16. I hate people. I should probably live where there aren’t people.

  17. I also agree with you, Jose. That is an ignorant policy and it's proving itself out. "Don't live in areas where forest fires happen" is about the most ignorant fucking statement.

  18. Today we have brought clothes and food to displaced people. It seems that after five days, the fire is "stabilized" but not controlled. The 5 seaplanes and 11 helicopters do not stop operating from dawn until night. Sentinel-3 image from space. You can see three fires. Nasa image
