  1. Well... I've been missing having a stick car in the stable. Was planning on purchasing a different car but the order banks for what I want do not open until next year. In the process of punting my Demon (suspension is not to my liking...way to singular in personality...drag suspension and I prefer more of a road race setup), I bought a car yesterday that I have yet to see in person so this should be entertaining. 2012 BMW M3 coupe manual w/ "slick top" and competition package in Interlagos Blue / black leather. It's got some miles on it, but these are getting more difficult to find. V8 motor that spins to 8300 rpm. It's light on torque for what I'm accustomed to, but hopefully I'll leave it alone and not slap a blower on it...LOL. There's actually a nice kit out there. Just something to drive for a while that's more nimble than the Trackhawk. Should look something like this except with the carbon fibre roof and no sunroof...thank goodness. vroom vroom... HS

  3. I wasn’t expecting to see a steel Drive extra-flat. I walked out with it on my wrist.

  4. Pre-Dorian, full moon, high tide walk on the beach By the way, the first picture is a part of the beach open to vehicles. The posts mark the furthest toward the dunes that vehicles are allowed. Vehicle access was closed down due to the high, high tide.

  5. Interestingly, the strap hasn't caused me any issues, so far. The leather strap on the Santos gave me a rash within about 10 minutes. I really adore this watch. I have wanted a Drive Extra-Flat since they were announced. I get 20% off at my local AD, on Cartier (thanks to my mother who has bought many pieces from them), which I think is reasonable.

  7. Cant you just cap and isolate the lines through the offending area then reroute with new lines? I have done this before. The new pex stuff is super easy compared to even no solder copper let alone galvanized BTW.

  9. Here's another favorite of mine, the Lexus LC500. I fell in love with the Lexus LF-LC concept that was shown in 2012, and the production version is pretty close to the concept. I really hope the rumored F Sport version loses literally a ton of weight and adds a manual transmission. https://youtu.be/2NgROUQZNVM

  10. The 3D upgrade for a ULN-2 is $500. A little more if your box is a Legacy (non-2D). In the big picture, the upgrade includes 64 bit architecture (making it compatible with osx Catalina). The new circuit board includes new clocking and for the ULN-2 and 2882, the sound upgrades them closer to the ULN-8/LIO-8. I've upgraded the LIO-8/Amarra I bought from Voltron and there was a slight upgrade in sound. Word has it that the ULN-2 sound is quite significant (YMMV). For pro audio the upgrades are way too numerous to list but it starts with Windows compliance. Future proofing include a replaceable "edge card" that allows tons of current and future connection schemes. The upgrade is still a public beta but the last software beta is almost there IMHO. https://mhsecure.com/3dEarlyAccess/

  12. I really like mine, it was a gift from the wife. TT yellow gold with blue ceramic on the bracelet. My buddy got it right when they came in stock like I did, but he wanted SS black which our AD didn't have the bracelet version of thus he had to order it separately. The bracelet adds a lot of character to the watch imo. The micro adjust is also quite nice to have. My other omega was also a gift from the wife, the planet ocean big blue. Of the two the 300m is miles more wearable. The lugs are also pretty short so I feel that it wears closer to a 40 than a 42. It wears better than my 40mm Panerai luminor, the 300m actually feels smaller because the way it sits on the wrist. The planet ocean is a monolith and feels every bit it's size on the wrist Lol. The first comment I get from people when they hold it is "wow this is really heavy" that's not typical of a ceramic watch! It is more comfortable than my old rolex dssd. It hugs my wrist more so I don't hit it on things like I did with the dssd.

  14. Woke up to burst pipes (again) and a flooded basement (again). This time the water got into the wiring. The good news is I'm not dead and the house didn't burn down. The bad news is more or less everything else. I've already shop vacced up maybe 100 gallons. There's parts of the basement I can't easily get to (FML) and two outlets are dead. One is a ground fault and it won't reset its breaker. My first reaction is DON'T FUCK WITH IT. Luckily I ran a lighting business for 15 years and I have some big, fuck-off extension cords. I'm running on fumes right now, but I've got more work to do this evening. Did I say FML? FMMFL.
