  1. Got outside for another bike ride. Was able to enjoy the color orange in a different way than the past few years.
  2. Beautiful! Downtown Fairfax is one long party! Haven't felt this good in a long time!
  3. Straight celebration. Big ass rice and cheese ball celebration. Refill and seared fish sandwich celebration.
  4. Yeah I got wet driving down through Paso Robles this morning and the wind off the ocean has some bite in Carp this evening. I did wave when passing the exit for 135!
  5. This. Here's to hoping SNL can pull off a Jeopardy in Heaven episode w/ both Connery and Trebek now being gone.

I use the Nomad base station: https://nomadgoods.com/products/base-station-apple-watch I’ve had it for almost a year, I travel with it, and I’m very happy. If I was buying a new one today, I would probably get the Mophie: https://store.apple.com/xc/product/HP7L2VC/A . I like the indentations where things go.

The track has a lot of forward momentum, I enjoyed it. I agree about the hard-panned perc, but sounds like you do too @acidbasement. The breakdown with the bloops lost me a tiny bit, but that might be a matter of taste. I like the way you got the wishy-washy middy synthwave sound nailed, that sounds lovely- though being unsubtle, I'd be wanting to punch various stuff up. It's a good job it's you at the controls of the mix, not me. Meanwhile, I continue to eschew all signs of melodic progression and make weird noise. I think there's something wrong with me. This is today's stereo-straight-from-the-modular single take. No editing barring some gentle mastering and fading ends. It was actually loads of fun to do.

Fantastic Iain! I could see an edgy anime as I listened. Might rein in those hard panned percussion bits a little but overall, impressive!!!

    That's a problem that I can identify with 😉

The Mophie looks perfect for my needs. Ordered one since I had a couple of Apple gift cards laying about . Thanks Tyler.
  13. Today is NOT a shitty day anywhere in the country.
  14. The thing I have learned working with a lasers is you need to treat it like a weapon: is it loaded/plugged in, is it safed/armed, is it pointed at the thing I am going to shoot and not at the things I do not want to shoot, am I wearing the safety gear, is everyone else safe or with gear on, do I know what I am doing? Only then, do you press the button. Shitty day out here, trying to motivate myself to head out to the garage and put my words into actions.
  15. Last night's show is up: First time I've used my old DAC in years.

This watch is over the top. First time I've heard of a Zenith El Primero:
  17. Anyone out there have built the raal opamp driver besides justin? I’m interesting and I guess other people are as well in the outcome and thoughts about the driver.
  18. Some jazz recorded the year that I was born, but released this year, right today: Available for download, CD ordering or free listening at Storyville Records in Bandcamp I've just learned that Dexter Gordon can sing rather acceptably.
  19. Nice dinner anniversary
  20. A little more subtle than the usual sea salt and vinegar chips but the apple part of the vinegar doesn't really come through much.
  21. The Chinese gizmo finally arrived after I extracted it from UK customs. Interesting so far. Measuring in my office, which has the computer, UPS and monitor I get 350mV In the kitchen with none of the LED lights on, 100mV and with all the LED ceiling lights on, 145mV. So the switched mode supplies inject a decent amount of extra garbage into the mains. Plugged in to a Russ Andrews Signature Powerblock, 40mV. So the good news is that the power block - which among other things contains a bank of mains X rated capacitors between live and neutral - seems to be doing what it says on the tin. More playing around is going to happen....
  22. R.I.P. Alex Trebek....
