  1. Hadn't heard of this show, until Al texted me about it last night. I got sucked in by episode one, with great music and fun characters, so I started watching more tonight. It takes place in London in 1983-88. I just finished, it's only 5 episodes. I feel like I just did a tour on the front lines of a horrible battle. It's not for the faint of heart, but it's the most realistic portrayal of the AIDS epidemic I've seen. It brought up so many memories that I haven't confronted in so long, and friends cut down way too early. A rough ride, but maybe that's what it has to be, to tell the real story.
  2. Nice virtual tour of Wright's Imperial Hotel.
  3. 4 points
Intel has got some real problems. What they need is better products. I am not sad to see Apple and AMD kick their ass. They have been a bully in the chip world for a long time.
  4. Among all that nonsense I jointed some of the wood from Irion. All looks really nice so far.
  5. Put a mobile base on a saw.
  6. I have doubts about Grado caring about your note.
  7. Dr. Wood was complaining about this iPod not working right, with a suspected bad hard drive, so after some post office delays... A new battery that'll properly hold a charge should also be here soon.
  8. Also a recording artist for a time
  9. I was just about to post that. RIP to the Queen of the Nurburgring.
  10. RIP Mr. Kotto. I remember several of his roles....and interesting note in that article, I never realized he turned down the role of Capt. Picard in Star Trek: The Next Generation!
  11. I don't love AMD, but Intel and Nvidia are tho companies I absolutely loathe.
  12. Intel hits back
  13. I’m going to send them to Grado. There will be a note taped in several places that says “do not replace the drivers.” It’s the same thing I do before I have surgery: “don’t cut this leg off,” with sharpie. Last time I had limb surgery the main surgical nurse laughed when he saw that I had already done it.
  14. I was just shocked to see that they had concrete driveways in Arkansas!
  15. The stroke has clearly affected short term memory.
  16. Ok, one asshat has been given a timeout. If further are required I'll get out the .
  17. What does the KGSSHV have to do with your actual Shilly statement about the ES1A? I guess you’re simply a dense shill. Perhaps you need to be blockaded.
  18. I think a welcome message in YouTube format would work better.
  19. I saw that too and meant to post it here. Pretty cool no matter how it was filmed!
  20. RIP Sabine, and fuck cancer! RIP also to Dick Hoyt, somewhat famous in New England for running the Boston marathon and other races pushing his wheelchair-bound son. https://www.necn.com/news/sports/one-of-a-kind-boston-marathon-legend-dick-hoyt-dies/2428119/
  21. RIP Sabine Schmitz, a major endurance racing driver, and Top Gear fun and crazy German driver. Died at age 51 after battling cancer for four years. Too early, far too early. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/motorsport/56420308
  22. RIP Yaphet Kotto: https://www.theguardian.com/film/2021/mar/16/yaphet-kotto-star-of-live-and-let-die-and-alien-dies-aged-81
