I had previously talked about the bookstore I'm working on. It's almost open for business and I thought I'd show a few of the projects. The shelves are all solid Cyprus. The boardwalk in the back is Redwood, as is the planter/benches. I didn't build the shed, but had to completely dismantle, move and reassemble it. Honestly, it would have been easier to just build a new one.10 points

I’m going to abuse my powers as admin and sell some coffee: I have 40 lbs of coffee available to purchase. It’s a medium roast rwandan coffee that I taste blueberries in. It’s the first coffee I thought was worth selling under my brand. From the bean wholesaler: Rwanda Natural - Huye Mountain Sweet, black grape, blueberry, boysenberry, chocolate Huye Mountain Coffee is a private washing station established in 2011 to provide farmers in the region with access to international markets and buyers of specialty coffees. Around 1,330 producers deliver their freshly picked coffee cherries to 26 collecting stations around the Huyecommunity, where a truck visits daily to collect the farmers' coffee during harvest season. This unique coffee comes from the Huye Mountain in the Huye District, in Southern Rwanda and grown above 1,900 meters. The natural process employed at Huye Mountain involves meticulous cherry selection and hand sorting prior to drying. Drying is done on raised African beds for between 14 and 28 days, depending on the weather, and the coffee is turned regularly. Country of Origin Rwanda Harvest Season 2021/22 Coffee Grade RWA CA NAT SPL SD Bag Type Grain Pro / Ecotact Plant Species Arabica Processing Natural/Dry Processed Variety Red Bourbon Region Huye District Farm Name Various smallholders Growing Altitude >1600m Climate Tropical savannah Soil Loam
It’s $40 for 2 lbs, shipped via USPS. I’ll roast and ship in the next week or so. Paypal to: 1 point

Just started that as well Steve....two episodes in and I like it! Can't remember if I read the book, though; I've read a bunch of Karin Slaughter in the long past.1 point

You are a lot closer to Ukraine than us. But if it, God help us, gets as far as the UK, we have nowhere to run. We are far too heavily populated. Run to Scotland? No help - the major submarine bases are up there. And in our area we have AWRE - the Atomic Weapons Research Establishment, GCHQ (Government Communication HQ) and Porton Down (the chemical weapons crew), and major RAFs base at Brize Norton and Abingdon. So we're fucked. Might as well kiss our asses goodbye.1 point

Problem solved. She immediately noticed that I removed the free weights and tape and then triumphantly attempted closet entry. Kitty disappointment was the result. I’m smart enough to have these at my shoulder level on affected closet doors: I think she could get the latches open if they were easily accessible. She’s a SMART cat.1 point

I keep thinking of the often repeated phrase failure of imagination to predict the 9/11 attacks. Failure of imagination to predict the Trump and Brexit votes. Failure of imagination to predict and prepare for a global pandemic. Failure of imagination to predict the storming of the US Capitol. Even failure of the imagination that Putin would actually invade Ukraine. We’re an optimistic people. That may be an issue.1 point

This is not a "music making" video per se, although has valuable hints about harmonic progressions, substitutions, melody making... IMHO can be of interest for you as it was for me.1 point

Well, friendos - me and my gf bought 75 liter hiking backpacks so we can bug out if needed. Also bought enough water and food to last us for 3 days on the run. It's relatively peaceful here in NATO's embrace, but shit can get real pretty fast. Most doomsday supplies are sold out.0 points

The other major thing that happened to me today (and honestly at the time I figured was the only major thing) is that I have sort of “officially” transitioned from being my mother’s son to being her care taker. There is overlap. I think this is a lot better for both of us. It’s… at least honest. Her hip replacement is semi-firmly set for April 12th. I’m hoping improved mobility will help her. Surely it can’t hurt.0 points
