Delicate pieces with lovely melody and structure. And then I just played the next thing in the queue - just happen to be another short album. Mendelssohn: Symphony No. 4 in A Major, Op. 90, MWV N 16 "Italian" Orpheus Chamber Orchestra 2021 https://album.link/i/1570823392 Example - People like the first movement - I like the last: A very good modern performance. It may not be my go to for this work, but it good.

I re-entered Willie's Rear this morning after dropping Alden at the airport and before a great lumber shop I found would open. I saw one item on the menu that I figured I had to order. With brown bread in tribute (not to Jim 😁).

well my dac is 16bit so using a digital volume control means losing information unless the volume is at max (to my knowledge digital volume control works by reducing the bit depth, and anything below 16 bit means losing information)

hey, which stepped attenuators / potentiometers are a good option for the carbon? most people use rk50 but thats too expensive for me

Thanks everyone! A day off from work with my girls. Squeezed in a quick mountain bike ride. Tough to beat.

I am actually doing a hybrid with Fisher’s basic cabinet so I can have the drawer with King’s add on shelves on one side and French cleats on the other.

There is good news from his website - he reckons to be back up and running later this year. He is in his mid 70s by the way. Clearly can't keep a good man down!
